Ticket price includes; four hour seated canape menu, including the Rick Shores Bug Roll, four hour beverage package inclusive of wine, beer, bubbles and spirits and four cocktails per person, sweeps, prizes for best dressed and multiple screens displaying the days events. It was our first visit, we were welcomed as soon as arrived, then waited on by Sammie, she was an absolute delight, explaining everything, very attentive. The food was exceptional, enjoyed every minute of it. We will definitely be back. Thank you all very much. Special thank you to Sammie. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

This was our second experience at Rick Shores and it was just as amazing as the first. Amazing food and atmosphere.

The venue was beautiful and the food was delicious. The staff were excellent and were so helpful with our young children so we were able to enjoy our evening.

I was celebrating my birthday and the whole experience was great. The food was as good as most people say. The famous Moreton Bay bug roll polarises people but I loved it. It was delicious and good value really as bugs aren't cheap and this one was fresh and tasty. The srirache mayonnaise only enhances the flavour. The lobster and prawn jade har gow were also delicious and good value as they were full of lobster and prawn, no padding. They look amazing too. The two mains we had were the Patagonia Toothfish curry and the crispy blue cod, both were great. The curry was mild and enhanced the fish rather than overpowering it. We ordered jasmin rice and wok greens but the jasmin rice was not needed as the toothfish curry comes with coconut rice. We would love to come to this restaurant regularly and being from Sydney will do so whenever we are on the Gold Coast.

We were very impressed with dinning at Rick Shores from the minute we walked in until we were finished all staff members made us feel relaxed and were happy to give us great service.

Unfortunately the Set Menu was underwhelming (which you need to select for a larger group). We chose the $130 option and had a few attendees who didn’t like seafood. Instead of an alternative protein source or sauces they were given all vegetarian options. They received there options well before the standard menu did (6 standard/3 altered). Other than the Bug Rolls none of the dishes were memorable. Both curries which are a highlight are left out of the set menu. Rick shores worth attending once for the experience but in a smaller group so you can order your own dishes.

Food did not disappoint. However took a while to receive our mains. However they did treat us with complimentary dessert as they too recognised the lag.

Anytime we visit Burleigh, we always make sure to book a reservation at Rick Shores and it never disappoints. Tonight, was the same, even with two kids in tow, we knew we had to visit. We definitely ordered too much but there was no dish that I regret ordering, they were all so flavoursome and delicious. I particularly love savoury dishes and the roti prawn toast definitely delivered on the umami flavour front. The bug roll is signature and always needed. The truffle spring rolls were full of truffle and so delicious. The prawn hargow had huge chunks of prawn, super delicious. The oysters, natural and fried were fantastic opening appetisers. The drinks are always really great, especially the cocktails too! I was definitely in my “Golden Era” with the first cocktail. The views are unbeatable, even with a storm tonight. They do a kids menu and understand the importance of having the kids meal out quickly and first - love that. They also have high chairs available.
