    Great service and food. Happy that Richard is able to retire but will miss his influence in the Boise community, and his tomato basil soup, which is iconic!

    Our family enjoyed a birthday celebration meal on Dec 6. Service was great. Our server, Kimber, was excellent. The fig flatbread appetizer was probably the hit of the night. Entrees were very good, but not exceptional. Our selections ranged from Black Cod, Flat Iron Steak to a special Duck thigh something. All were properly prepared and served at a proper temperature. We’re a bit saddened that Richard’s will be shuttered at the end of this year, but a new restaurant will be taking the space and we look forward to that.

    We came to Richard's to celebrate our Anniversary. Our experience was awesome, the service and food were incredible.

    What a Disappointment for Thanksgiving. After being seated we were told there was only wine and beer being served. We almost got up and left. The server did a great job and was the only highlight of the dinner. The dinner was served at a very fast pace. we were not finished one course and another was being being served. My turkey dinner was good, I had to ask for the cranberry sauce as it was served with the dish. The OSSO BUCCO was not fall off the bone. it was dry and over cooked. Even using a steak knife it was tough. Finally as were finishing the meal rolls were being served to customers arriving. We were never offered them. Richards was sold but says they are open until January. Maybe they are already gone. What a disappointment.

    We’ll miss Richard’s dining experience. Though we haven’t eaten there often, we save it for special occasions. The location is convenient for us, and the food, service, and ambiance are great.

    Our dinner started out lovely. The wine we ordered was poured and the soups and salads were served in an appropriate amount of time. They were delicious. But then 40 minutes passed by before we saw our waitress again with our dinners. The restaurant was not very full. The explanation for the delay that we received was that there was a party of 12 in the Private Dining Room. We were rather disappointed by the overall experience.

    Food was pretty good. I like the waffle and my bacon! My friend did not like the French toast. Her bacon was 1/2 pieces ….at $2 a slice …..all of our bacon should have been the same size. 🙃. I would go back. My friend would not!
