    It was a beautiful place to have brunch and the good was absolutely delicious. The coctails were interesting and really tasty. The service was fantastic with lovely staff. I highly recommend.

    I've been here twice now and it is my 2nd visit when I encountered how egoistic and rude the service is here. After ordering 2 rounds of 4 drinks each, one of our drinks turned out to be really pungent and funny tasting so we informed the wait staff of this who came back saying there wasn’t much we could do. Considering this place isn’t the cheapest, I turned to the manager to further voice my opinion who was ignorant and merely said that customers should think before they order and he cannot do anything. I further pointed out that the point of hospitality should be to make the customer happy to which he had a smirk which confirms that they really do not care about customers. I wouldn’t recommend wasting your money and valuable time here given how many great restaurants this beautiful city has to offer, Rice Queen unfortunately is not one of them.

    We really enjoyed our experience at Rice Queen, it was our first time and it was brilliant. We had the feed me menu and we loved every course. The stand outs were the dumplings, kfc chicken and the bang bang chicken. The bao was also amazing and the curry… oh and the kingfish! We also had dessert, they were both fantastic, I’m not a panna cotta but their berry one was delicious, the green tea crème brûlée was amaze as well.We will definitely be going back again, the service was also very good, very attentive and entertaining all at once. Can’t wait to go back.

    The chef's tasting menu was the perfect choice for us, couldn't fit in the dessert so we will be back! Staff were fantastic

    The waiter was very friendly. Food was of a good standard. Was quiet when we ate there at midday. Compared to other bottomless brunches, they had jug service, but they didn’t top up as you go. They limit the number of jugs you can have at one time and you then have to wait before you can order. It was pretty good, but just not a fast service as other places and they were quite strict on how much they served which didn’t leave a good vibe. Other places are a lot more generous and are on it with the pour.

    I was impressed by their service from the moment I entered the restaurant until I departed. Everything was perfect: the overall service, the quality and quantity of the food, and even the cocktails. Now I understand why this restaurant is so popular in Fitzroy.

    I regret to say that there were a few issues with the meal. Despite specifying that I required a beef-free and vegetarian meal, beef was served as part of the order. Additionally, the service for drink orders was lacking, which was disappointing. The food itself was quite oily and heavily fried, which did not align with my dietary preferences as a gluten-free and vegetarian individual. While I appreciate the effort, the dishes were too oily for my liking. Furthermore, there was a prevalent taste of curry leaves in all the dishes, which was unexpected.

    We enjoyed a much awaited Mommies’ day out at Rice Queen on Sunday, Noon. Our Hostess, Natalia was very attentive, intuitive and caring. The food was phenomenal! Couple Of learnings though- it was surprisingly empty for Sunday lunch. We soon learnt that booking for evenings is best as it does most justice to the beautiful ambience and lighting alongside a buzzing full house! Another learning is because this restaurant is overall expensive ($$$ and rightfully so as the food is exceptional), we’d opt for the A La Carte menu next time. The Chefs tasting menu was a bit too much even for 3 out of 4 of us who have healthy appetites! :D Overall, a beautiful experience for a special occasion.
