For three decades the name Riccio has been synonymous with fine dining in the desert. Richard and Patricia Riccio set the bar for outstanding Italian cuisine 40 years ago when they opened the original Riccio’s in uptown Palm Springs. Two of their sons, eager to carry on the family tradition, last spring unveiled Riccio’s Steak and Seafood with a new menu concept in a higher profile location downtown. Service and personal attention have been the Riccio’s hallmark and they pledge to continue this tradition.

For the casual diner, Riccio’s offers a relaxed patio presentation for watching downtown Palm Springs unfold while sampling their intriguing, seasonally changing menu. Riccio’s bar faces lively Palm Canyon Drive, and picture windows frame a sculptural fountain.

Had a table outside which was great. Excellent food and exceptional service. Great value for upscale dining in PS. Highly recommend.

Our expectations weren’t met on this dining experience. The online reviews seemed good, but it was just ok. The wine was ok. The food was ok. The service was attentive and friendly. Ordered the fettuccine Mediterranean which listed it had a bunch veggies, but it also had mushrooms, which we hate. Why are you including just some of the vegetables on the menu listing? We ate around them and the flavor of the dish was just ok. Decided against wine refills and dessert and moved on to another restaurant. Unfortunately, we regretted our restaurant choice. So many better places. Ambiance was an outdated restaurant.

We were in town for the night and decided to have dinner here. Open table offered us a reservation at 8:45pm. The server was nice! We ordered cocktails, oysters, ribeyes, pastas, and salads. The oysters and cocktails were really good. The ribeyes were awful! They were flavorless and it seemed like they were kept in water and then reheated upon order. For $50, we were disappointed. We let the waitress know but she seemed very passive about the situation. $300 dinner and we were extremely disappointed. Unfortunately, we will not be back again and will not recommend. Also the Uber driver driving us to our next destination mentioned he had heard not so great things about that the restaurant

Lovely evening on the patio. Had actually dined at an Italian restaurant the night prior, but was looking for steak. That is what brought us to Riccio’s. As we were leaving, the small bar was packed and we were invited for a nite cap. This ended up being a highlight of our trip as this was family, owners of Riccio’s - two sisters shared pictures and stories of their parents who started the original restaurant, famous people (Dean Martin, Shirley McLane) who were friends of their uncles and parents. Highly recommend Riccio’s and will stop again if ever back in the area. Thank you, Riccio family for opening up your family to three gals from Texas, Virginia & Chicago! Will always remember your hospitality! ❤️
