We had the 7 tempos menu. It was a fantastic window into Mexican gastronomy. Our servers were impeccable. The wine pairing was perfect.

Fuimos ocho para celebrar mi cumple de 40 años y todo estuvo perfecto. El ambiente y el diseño del restaurante son muy bonitos y especiales, el servicio muy atento, y la comida exquisita. El chef ha creado un menu degustación que refleja y honra los sabores de México mientras los eleve. Lo pasamos fenomenal en Icú—una noche bastante memorable—y volveremos en cuanto nos encontremos de nuevo en Puerto Vallarta. 8 of us went to celebrate my 40th birthday, and everything was perfect. The atmosphere and design of the restaurant are very beautiful and special, the service is very attentive, and the food is exquisite. The chef has created a tasting menu that reflects and honors the flavors of Mexico while elevating them. We had a great time at Icú—a very memorable night—and we’ll be back as soon as we’re in Puerto Vallarta again.

ICU is by far the best restaurant in the area, with exceptional service and cuisine. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves from start to finish taking part in the full nine course tasting and beverage pairing experience. All of the dishes curated were amazing especially the squash blossoms, aguachile, tuna tostada, ancho taco, and the pork belly octopus huarache. We will definitely be back, thank you for making our 20th anniversary so special.

We’re pretty big gourmet diners. Recently we had the 9 course tasting menu at Tintoque and I think that set a new bar for us. Don’t get me wrong, Icu was very good in many ways. had we not eaten at Tintoque, I may have given it a 5 Star rating. First of all the ambience: it was basic and adequate. I would expect more striking art and decor pizazz for this level of a restaurant. We sat at the end where the banquettes are. The banquette at our table had 2 separate cushions joining right at the fanny. So it was a bit uncomfortable with that gap there. A simple remedy of sliding the table more in 1 direction would remedy this. That being said, delighted that there was cushion seating, especially for this level of dining. So thank you icu for the padded seats. The service: was absolutely excellent! I loved that we had new cutlery for each course, which is how I was raised. They presented each course in great detail. Absolutely lovely! The food: we opted for the 5 course tasting menu. Overall very good. A few things tho. #1 was a beet salad w roasted pumpkin seeds & goat cheese. Lovely.#2 was a blue fin Tostada with chili oil. It was absolutely delicious! Flavors were brilliant. The only thing was the blue corn tostada shell was tough and felt a bit stale. Had to pull and tug a bit to bite through the shell. Not sure if that is the way it’s supposed to be. Was a bit off for both me and my husband. Course 3: a choice of 2 items. I opted for the octopus & Porkbelly huarache. Absolutely delicious. But again awkward to eat. Fork and knife or is this a hand thing. The waiter said manos. But after taking 2 hand bites that felt a bit odd so I proceeded to use my fork and knife. It was seated on a piece of pretty paper which tore as I cut. So I removed the paper so I could continue. Also again. The blue corn tortilla base was tough and chewy. Hard to cut through and hard to chew. Nonetheless the flavors and quality were brilliant 🌟. I’ve run out!

The food was outstanding. We had the 5-course tasting menu and were impressed by the flavor and presentation of each course. We mentioned the meal to everyone we saw for the next two days.
