Step through the doors of Deco Hotel and into the ground floor restaurant, as the contemporary chic setting sets the stage for a delicious meal.

The menu is specially curated by Head Chef Federico Pitasi, who has an extraordinary ability to craft unique flavours derived from his Italian heritage and subsequent sourcing of ingredients from the regions where he was raised. Namely, Chef Federico has painstakingly sourced many Italian ingredients with Italy's prestigious D.O.P. certification.

We recently went to a TAFE dinner that was part of a hospitality and cooking class assessment which we were required to assess. The staff st Restuarant 214 were absolute professionals,exhibiting all the required skills that make a dining experience a special one. Fom my observation the wait staff treated each other appropriately and politely. I jave been to a so called top restaurant where staff were yelled at, you heard disturbances from the kitchen and staff were surly. Memorable for all the wrong reasons. Our dinner at Restaurant 224 was totally enjoyable and I strongly recommend it for a great night out.

We were a party of four and only two of us felt it was worth the effort to empty their plate. The food was bland, some over cooked, some under cooked. An absolute let down. Fortunately, the wine list was ok.

Went to dinner 2 nights in a row as we were staying at the hotel where the restaurant is located First night we had the fish and chips with salad and chicken schnitzel chips and salad, both were very nice. We then had dessert, Tiramisu which was a bit soggy and Torta della Nonna which was a piece of a tart and was soggy too and not much flavour. It came with a sorbet which was supposed to be lemon but was pink and flavourless. So the desserts were disappointing for the price. We went back the next night and had 2 different types of steak, they were both very nice. Overall, a nice hotel restaurant

The way the staff are treated is terrible they are required to be a barista, bartenders, wait tables, clean. Most restaurants would have bar staff or barista then some waitstaff but not here! We waited 45min for a drink. We dined here at breakfast and dinner as were in the Hotel with kids the food was nice and fresh chef also working hard and doing a good job- there is no management assistance and no help or process for these staff- they were very polite and working hard and apologetic. The restaurant does not actually open at 5:30pm despite taking bookings at that time through OpenTable!

The food is always excellent at Two14. The exciting new menu has just landed, and the specials board is always worth a peruse. In addition to great dining, the staff here are very attentive and always friendly. Given some of them were 'in training', it clearly shows this hotel and restaurant has good leadership, solid training, and excellent staff selection processes. Two14 is always a 'go to' when in Canberra. Highly recommended.

It was our first experience at Restaurant Two14 for Valentines day, the food was excellent. The service was however, slow and it took a while for our food and everyone at the restaurant's food to arrive. There were only two or three waitstaff, which was not idea on a night that was always going to be very busy.

Great service. The waitress kept checking that everything was ok. The food was presented nicely, nice atmosphere.
