Pierrot is a refined yet comfortable and relaxed, friendly restaurant run by our several generation restaurateur family. We are located in a 13th century old bakery house with an enchanting hidden garden and featuring live piano music every night!

The kitchen is lead by Mr Lajos Lutz, the menu features contemporary interpretations of Hungarian specialities.

Since Pierrot was founded in 1982 it has gone through several changes but one thing has remained: In our family gastronomy is not merely a way of making a living but also a vocation in the best sense of the word.

We are looking forward to welcoming you to Pierrot!

                                      The real deal. Pitch perfect. What a fine dining experience should be. The garden setting was sublime. The wine list was artful and replete with quality Hungarian selections. If the restaurant were near our home it would be our go to place to dine.

                                      I booked a table in the garden at Pierrot for our 30th wedding anniversary dinner. The reservation was confirmed and two days prior to our date I received an email requesting to confirm our attendance, which I did. When we turned up on the night for our romantic celebration, we got a massive shock to find the restaurant completely closed up. We were stranded and our special evening totally ruined!!!

                                      Terrible experience. The food was not delicious, and for the prices, we expected quality but were very disappointed. The goulash was a joke and tasteless, the salad was nothing special, and the ravioli were as tasteless as the crème brûlée. I regret spending our last dinner there. The only positive thing I can mention is the music in the restaurant. It seems like a tourist trap, as it is not frequented by any Hungarian people.

                                      Visiting Budapest for the 1st time. Chose The Pierrot by friends recommendation. A perfectly delicious meal, served by knowledgeable and friendly staff. A lovely evening!

                                      Amazing atmosphere outside in the garden. So quiet and delightful. Amazing food and so nice service. Definitely would like to come back sometime.

                                      It has been a perfect dinner. Ákos has made our evening, with a personal and tasteful touch in his service. The chefs have prepared a great meal. The piano player has accompanied the evening with delightful music , and the restaurant atmosphere has made the whole experience romantic and unique. Just great. Best experience in Budapest, and actually best restaurant in a while across Europe.

                                      Amazing food, service and ambience. We had delicious lobster bisque, chicken paprika and ravioli. The spatzel was excellent but I was a bit disappointed in the goulash which lacked the flavor or spice I was expecting. Overall highly recommended.
