Located within Birmingham's Mailbox, Restaurant at The Woods is an immersive casual dining experience. Our unique setting offers a standard, halal and vegan menu, with a variety of wild and farmed ingredients. Our restaurant is designed to recreate the beauty of nature indoors. With changing seasons and scenery we have towering trees, forest foliage, waterfalls and all the sounds of nature.

Our menu: We have three menus - Standard, Halal and Vegan. Each of which is compromised of - breakfast, lunch, dinner. In terms of drinks we serve barista quality coffee as well as a range of other hot and iced drinks. We also have a fully stocked bar, offering cocktails, spirits, wines draught and bottled beer and cider.

We waited over an hour for our food we arrived for our booking at 6 45 and didn't get our food till quarter past 8 , the side portion of macaroni cheese was in the moat ridiculous size bowl for £3.50 it was a disgusting price During our meal noone checked if we was okay or needed another drink so twice we had yo leave our food to go and order from the bar, the toilets in the venue were also disgusting, there was no toilet paper in any either if the toilets and the sanitary bin in the one toilet was over flowing Overall we was very disappointed with our visit and we will not be returning

Had to wait 55min for food,we had finished our wine and were getting ready to leave.The restaurant only had a few customers so I dread to think of the wait if its busy. Feel sorry for the waitress who had to deal with disappointed customers. Not all the menu was available and we weren't the only table waiting ages. They apologised for the wait and took the wine off the bill without us having to complain so I cannot criticise there handling of the situation. When the food arrived it was nice but a little overpriced. If they could improve the speed of service I would consider returning but it wouldn't be my first choice in the area.

The menu had great choice, the food was delicious. The issue was too little staff serving. There were two servers, it wasn’t enough, which was a shame. The staff there though were lovely, they just needed some extra help. Will go again.

Had a lovely lunch at The Woods, they have got the perfect blend of a relaxing atmosphere but with a buzz. The decor and feel of the place is fab! Food and service was top notch and I can’t wait to visit again. Can’t forget to mention the cocktails - they were divine!

Went with a friend to try somewhere new in Birmimgham, and we were both very impressed. Gorgeous setting and delicious food!

Jade our server was really kind and helpful with any questions we had. The food was really great too and the portions were a good size.

Food was ok, but the service was very poor. Really inattentive. We had to replace our own cutlery, chase for the starters, go and tell them we had finished and the table was ready to be cleared. What should have taken an hour took two and a half. A real shame as the food was pretty good.

definitely different than most restaurants in birmingham with all the decor such as fake trees etc. However the service was okay as when we was waiting for the bill no one came up to us for ages to the point my friend had to go up and ask a server to come and pay. but overall it was a nice place to visit

Had a wonderful meal here last night. Beautiful decor and a friendly, attentive server really helped to enhance the experience. Luke (with the cool shirt) was helpful in making recommendations (both food and drink) and brought a warmth which made us feel very well taken care of. The food was cooked and presented beautifully. We went for a selection of the small plates and were happy with every dish We selected. We will certainly be returning soon.
