Located within Birmingham's Mailbox, Restaurant at The Woods is an immersive casual dining experience. Our unique setting offers a standard, halal and vegan menu, with a variety of wild and farmed ingredients. Our restaurant is designed to recreate the beauty of nature indoors. With changing seasons and scenery we have towering trees, forest foliage, waterfalls and all the sounds of nature.

Our menu: We have three menus - Standard, Halal and Vegan. Each of which is compromised of - breakfast, lunch, dinner. In terms of drinks we serve barista quality coffee as well as a range of other hot and iced drinks. We also have a fully stocked bar, offering cocktails, spirits, wines draught and bottled beer and cider.

Had a wonderful meal here last night. Beautiful decor and a friendly, attentive server really helped to enhance the experience. Luke (with the cool shirt) was helpful in making recommendations (both food and drink) and brought a warmth which made us feel very well taken care of. The food was cooked and presented beautifully. We went for a selection of the small plates and were happy with every dish We selected. We will certainly be returning soon.

The food was lovely, tasty and great flavours. Perhaps a little overpriced for what is a good but not amazing plate of food. Unfortunately the service was very poor. We raised this with the supervisor upon leaving and they acknowledged that they have had several similar feedback and it's something they will be working on as a change of management is happening soon. So, well definitely give it another go in 6 months time, but would not recommend it for the time being.

Food was so over priced and totally not worth it. I thought my partners was a child's meal. Service was dreadful considering it wasn't that busy. Was really excited about trying somewhere new and don't mind paying above average for good food but it wasn't worth the fifty pounds for 2 meals and one was so small it was unbelievable. Sadly won't be returning. Would rather go to McDonald's. Website gives the impression it is a forest glade with a tree house but in reality everything is plastic and the tree house is the second floor!

Restaurant wasn’t busy but food took a long time to arrive. We drank a bottle and half of wine before food came. Ambience was ok. Overall was a nice dinner, but wouldn’t rush back.

Lovely restaurant, beautiful decor inside and very good choice of food on the menu. The main meals we have chosen (tabbit and pheasant) were very good, but the starter (fried coliflower) was luke warm, hard and below average with 4 tiny florets for exorbitant price of £8.50 - so don't waste money on that starter. The worst experience was the staff. Young kids laughing out loud not paying attention to tables, food brought around, missing cutlery etc. No saying thank you or if any further assistance can be provided and this was when the place was nearly empty with maybe 10 dinners. Staff was a massive let- down with nobody who seem much over 18 years old. Re wine query if any white wine is European, the waitress said she did not know the wine menu. Would not go again because of the staff and bill of £100 for this experience was unreasonable.

My friends and I came here Saturday afternoon and we were greeted and sat down instantly. The restaurant itself is stunning, the atmosphere was well balanced feeling both intimate and bustling. The service was great, we felt like old friends rather than customers and then the food, WOW. I can't recommend this place enough

Very nice looking restaurant and food was nice. However, poor service, not sure if that’s because we were seated upstairs.
