The Restaurant at The Durham serves an ever-evolving seasonal menu of American classics and regional specialties made with the bounty of produce, meats, cheeses and seafood from our local farms and purveyors. Start with drinks and sunset views on The Roof, followed by dinner in the Restaurant’s glass-walled dining room with striking mid-century design.

    Join us at The Durham Hotel for an exclusive culinary evening with Savannah Miller, Top Chef Season 21 finalist and Chef de Cuisine at M Tempura. Chef Miller returns home to present a multi-course menu showcasing her expertise and creativity. Enjoy refined highlights like Hamachi Crudo with horseradish buttermilk, Grilled Octopus with preserved eggplant vinaigrette, and an indulgent Pork Presse with pomegranate jus. Conclude your experience with her showstopping Golden Milk Mousse, inspired by her Top Chef creation, and a decadent Layered Coconut Cake with burnt orange marmalade. Due to the nature of this event, we are unable to accommodate substitutions for dietary restrictions/preferences. Reservations are limited.

    The wait staff was totally professional and "Johnny on the Spot" with any of our needs. The food was fantastic, and a great value for what was provided.

    Friendsgiving at the Durham Hotel was pleasant in atmosphere and joining with friends but the meal was not very good and parts were even cold (beans were cold) though the restaurant was not busy. I would not return to dinner here.

    First off drink order wasn't correct and had to be remade. Surprising that the restaurant was almost empty at 7pm even though the streets were packed with traffic and a large number of people walking downtown. Significant foot traffic through the lobby going upstairs. I had the jerk chicken. Large portion but vegetables were over cooked and presentation was not the best. Service was good. Price was too high for the value of the food Now I know why they only serve dinner a few evenings a week.

    Cute boutique hotel with a mid-century modern vibe in the main dining room. The Bloody Mary was excellent. The food was meh. The service was slow.

    Friendly, responsive staff. Food was good, although my wife ordered a kind of trout that tasted like salmon, which she greatly dislikes. The staff responded well to the situation by providing another option and not charging us for the original order. That was a great customer service gesture. Overall, was a nice experience.

    Not sure what was going on, but there seemed to perhaps be only one server for Saturday brunch. We waited over 45 minutes for our drinks to arrive. We had to flag down the server to order food. Luckily the servers’ station was in the middle of the restaurant bc we had to get our own silverware and water refills.

    The Brunch food and surroundings were really lovely. But the service was much to be desired. We asked for more time to look at the menu, and then struggled to get anyone’s attention for a good 10 minutes. It’s really loud at brunch, which didn’t bother us. But it’s something to keep in mind if you are hard of hearing or you prefer a quieter brunch place. Most likely we won’t be back.
