Experience award-winning fine dining in a modern, contemporary setting while supporting our highly talented students on their journey to professional excellence. Restaurant at Birmingham College of Food offers top quality food and service delivered by students training on our chef, food service courses under the guidance of industry expert tutors at University College Birmingham.

Restaurant provides exceptional value for money for high levels of cooking, service, creative flair and quality seasonal produce. Our Dinner Menu might include delicious fish and shellfish, premium beef, lamb, poultry or game, and imaginative vegetarian dishes. This runs alongside a lunchtime menu providing excellent value for money. The restaurant also draws on a dedicated pastry section where our skilled student chefs produce an array of elegant desserts.

Excellent food. All staff are friendly, professional and very attentive. The restaurant is bright and comfortable. Excellent value for money.

We try to go to the College a couple of times each year, for well prepared food at reasonable prices. It's always popular, but some points to know if you're looking at reviews before a first visit. Firstly, there is a limited number of tables and you need to book early, especially if you have a larger party. Secondly, apart from a senior College person, students will be greeting you, preparing drinks, cooking and serving you - our waiter was on his first day yesterday and at times may need to check an answer to any questions you have. We're well aware of this but if you're used to top notch service please show patience - the students rotate across all front and back of house roles so may be new to things. Questions do actually help them so try to check menu items but be genuine

Food was delicious and presentation was excellent. Service was good. Loved the extras such as the aranchini and petit fours. Bit on the cold side whilst sitting and the slide presentation on the dominant screens is a constant distraction.

The service from all the staff was first class, friendly smiling and very welcoming. The food itself was outstanding from the complimentary snacks (very soft tasty bread) through the starter (salmon) to the mains (lamb), everything was delicious and the price was very reasonable. Even the bottle of red wine we had suited the meal extraordinarily well. One of the best fine dining experience we've ever had. 5 stars

Ryu was a superb waiter, he was pleasant clean, personable, fun and efficient. The food was probably the best I have had to date at UCB. I visit reasonably often and it's always good but today was outstanding. Great menu, cooked and presented with care and precision. Well done students 👏
