Experience award-winning fine dining in a modern, contemporary setting while supporting our highly talented students on their journey to professional excellence. Restaurant at Birmingham College of Food offers top quality food and service delivered by students training on our chef, food service courses under the guidance of industry expert tutors at University College Birmingham.

Restaurant provides exceptional value for money for high levels of cooking, service, creative flair and quality seasonal produce. Our Dinner Menu might include delicious fish and shellfish, premium beef, lamb, poultry or game, and imaginative vegetarian dishes. This runs alongside a lunchtime menu providing excellent value for money. The restaurant also draws on a dedicated pastry section where our skilled student chefs produce an array of elegant desserts.

Ryu was a superb waiter, he was pleasant clean, personable, fun and efficient. The food was probably the best I have had to date at UCB. I visit reasonably often and it's always good but today was outstanding. Great menu, cooked and presented with care and precision. Well done students 👏

First time visit and we will return without doubt. Fabulous food, friendly staff learning their trade guided by excellent tutoring staff. Cannot think of a better win- win for everyone - we had a great evening out, superb value for money whilst helping younger in their quest to join the hospitality trade. At the risk of not being able to book a table, would highly recommend. Thank you to everyone - kitchen and front of house.

As always students well turned out, courteous and attentive. UCB does a brilliant job with the students, food, presentation and running the restaurant. It’s my go to place nowadays on a day out to Birmingham.

Firstly prices increased significantly since previous visit. This was not unexpected but at the same time only three menu choices per course, seemed a bit limited. First courses, complimentary nibbles and bread delicious. Main courses well cooked but lacked impact. Puddings were a throw back to the past. They used to be the highlight of the meal. Coffee was cool not even warm. Based on our meals today we will not be in a hurry to return.

The first time back since finishing as a uni student brought my work colleagues, and we all roughly enjoyed the evening. We are all planning to come again with the colleagues who sadly missed out, and all my colleagues are planning their own individual visits with their sposes and family members. Christine, as always, is the best host, and we all left both full and very content, having had excellent service from fully attentive students. My colleagues now understand why I have billed Restaurant at Birmingham College of Food as one of the best in Birmingham with great food and wine.Simply the best.
