Situated at the base of the beautiful Seven Falls, Restaurant 1858's menu and decor are inspired by the Colorado Gold Rush. Featuring from scratch, seasonal, local, and wood fire grilled Colorado cuisine and cocktails.

Lunch: Served from 11am to 4pm, featuring an a la carte menu with prices ranging from $9-21 for appetizers; $22-36 for sandwiches & plated lunches; and desserts from $12.

Dinner: Served from 5pm to 8pm, featuring an a la carte menu with prices ranging from $9-21 for appetizers; $24-58 for entrees; and desserts for $12 (not inclusive of taxes, PIF & gratuities).

The food was overpriced. The servings were good sized, but the quality of the food was mediocre at best. Out waitress was attentive, but could have been better at explaining things. The restaurant, already overpriced, adds a 20% tip to your bill, will no other tipping options available. Potential customers should also know that there is a fifteen minute steep uphill walk from the compulsory parking shuttle drop off point, to and from the restaurant.

Went there to celebrate my birthday with my friend. The ambiance was so nice. The staff were very accommodating. They were very thoughtful that they gave me a free birthday cake. Food was good especially the chicken burger. It was a great idea that I chose this restaurant to celebrate my special day. I highly recommend this area their food is a must try.

We had a wonderful time. The onion rings were soggy along with the fries that came with the burger. Other than that, which isn’t that big of a deal, everything was great. Recommend allowing yourself enough time to walk to the restaurant from where the shuttle drops you off.

The service was friendly and attentive. The menu is unique and cocktails were very good. The coleslaw tasted old and the buffalo burger meat was not freshly prepared. The Pikes Peak or Bust Nachos were excellent. Be prepared for a 20% service charge on every table, regardless of party size. For example, our receipt showed: sub-total $150.00, PIF (public improvement fee) $0.00, tax $9.24, 20% service charge $30.00, tip said $0.00, so it was confusing if we needed to leave a tip. At all Broadmoor restaurants (this one is owned by Broadmoor), the service charge goes into a pool for restaurant employees and not wholly to your server. We had to look this up as it is deceiving at face value. So if you want gratuity to go directly to your server, you will need to tip additional on top of the 20% service charge. We loved the ambiance but will not return due to the high cost. One kids salad, one bowl of soup, one burger, one appetizer, two cocktails, one glass of wine, one beer, one lemonade totaled $189.24 without an additional tip, which we did end up leaving, making lunch $200.00.
