Res American Bistro is a casual, yet elegant two level dining destination perfect for every occasion. Make a “Res” for a casual bite, a special night out, and everything in between! Our menu features fresh takes on contemporary favorites such as lobster tempura, roasted baby lamb chops, handmade pastas, and our 20-day butter aged NY Sirloin. Make sure to also check us out for our Spectacular Sunday Brunch every third Sunday of the Month!

The food and service was incredible however it was nearly impossible to hear each other over the noise.

Great night out! Great vibe, service and the food was excellent! One of the best espresso martinis I have had.

Terrific meal and service. The burrata salad with pistachio pesto was so good and filling, especially after the warm mini baguettes and fresh butter, I could have happily ended there. But opted to soldier on and chose the roasted salmon over cauliflower puree with chile oil for a lighter entree. Delicious! Husband raved about the tuna tartare appetizer which was topped with what we think was thinly sliced fried plantains. Whatever they were, they were great and made a beautiful presentation. He enjoyed his duck confit entree but it was served over fried rice which was perhaps the only slight miss. Drinks were inventive and tasty. Will definitely come again.

They made us sit at a weird folding table and chairs upstairs. My mother in law has back issues so they gave her a regular chair after we requested it. It was really noisy upstairs. The service was friendly, but not necessarily efficient. She did say they were really busy. Food was excellent.

One of our favorite go to's before the theatre. Ease of parking, great dinner and drinks and dessert after.

Terrible service. Booked a reservation for a special occasion with my wife and got sandwiched between two very large, very loud parties. The appetizers took over an hour to arrive and the food was significantly worse than past trips. The waiter barely checked in with us and never asked how the food was. Overall, very disappointed - we were very much looking forward to this meal.

Went for the first time on a busy Saturday night. Food was excellent. Large portions for fine dining with reasonable prices for that level of quality. Service was attentive without being obtrusive. We will be back to try a sweetheart table.

We had reservations for patio dining which turned out to be tables on the sidewalk. It wasn’t our preference and it was somewhat cool this evening. No heat lamps. We ended up sitting inside at the bar. Had a wonderful experience with a very attentive bartender. Excellent drinks, comfortable atmosphere and while we ordered off the appetizer menu to try a few different options everything was great from a dining perspective. Can’t comment on the rest of the menu although the serving sizes I observed were pretty generous. I would definitely recommend Res and just bear in mind that nights when there are performances at Trinity Rep it’s bound to be pretty crowded since it’s an easy walk across the street to the theater. Hope to return before long.

Food was very good- lobster tail tempura fun and different. Cooked perfectly , ‘tho sauce too sweet …(cut honey in half?) Service was great on a very busy night.
