Starters were excellent but main course of Lemon chicken did not really match the menu descriptions. One piece of the chicken undercooked. Wine was good and service was excellent

The food and service were excellent. My only criticism would be how quickly the food arrived. From sitting down to leaving it was 1 hr. We spent £135 and it felt quite rushed. A more relaxed approach would make the experience 5 stars across the board.

Breakfast £18 for a bowl of cereal and a half slice of toast unacceptable but this is the standard price for continental breakfast, with extremely little and poor choice, dinners also expensive £55 for two fish and chips and one glass of wine. We will not return for meals albeit the hotel was just ok certainly not 4star , I would say barely three. Ralph and Annette Issott Room 210 28th to 30th January

Food was lovely and restaurant and bar staff were all very attentive and polite, we had a lovely meal. The restaurant wasn’t freezing cold like a lot of other restaurants now a days too.

Service was fantastic. The professional welcome and courtesy was exceptional. Food and seating excellent. I understand people wish to take their dogs on holiday, however dogs barking and a dog sitting on a seat at a table did not suit the ambience portrayed. But altogether a fine experience. I will return asap.

Fantastic food , wonderful service and lovely atmosphere. Had dinner here while staying at the hotel however would also book to pop in just for dinner.

Anniversary meal was very mixed. My food was good but my wife waited 20 minutes for her meal and by this point I was finished. Waitress asked if she wanted sauces and the mayo came just as she finished. Asked for the dessert menu and after waiting 15 minutes we gave up and left. Starters on the brand new menu were also unavailable even though this was only the second night if the new menu. The restaurant was as poor as the accommodation

Overall our stay was ok but a few things weren’t great, we were told at 3pm (check in time) that our room wasn’t ready and couldn’t check in until 4pm. We were supposed to have Prosecco in our room which was part of the deal that we paid for but that wasn’t there so we had to ask for this. The room majorly need updated carpet was patchy and falling apart and switches etc weren’t working, some sockets not UK ones. Overall the stay was pleasant and the food was good but hotel could just do with an update. I also noticed who I think was the manager being horrible to his staff which wasn’t nice to witness.
