We had a wonderful time celebrating my Dad’s 75th birthday last night. I posted on Facebook for all of our friends and family that loved Renga Tei, that Tenjin is even better! You have an amazing Prix Fixe menu that was perfect. Everything was amazing, the food and service were impeccable! 💕

Tenjin is a fantastic Japanese restaurant hiding in a low key strip mall. Simple ingredients, perfectly prepared and presented with excellent service. I need to go back asap for more tonkatsu curry!

We came back and brought our friends for a birthday dinner celebration. We were all impressed with all the items, everything was fresh, delicious and the staff were very attentive to us. We had the gyoza, potato croquettes, edamame, crispy tuna with jalapeño bites and few of their specialty rolls. - crunchy tuna - crunchy salmon - Tamago nigiri - dragon We also had the curry with pork! Actively spreading the word to our other foodie friends. Our bill was about 200ish and that included a cork fee of 30 dollars which was surprisingly affordable. We are very happy they provide a the cork fee option! Can't wait to try more items on the menu and the best part is they are only a few blocks away from our house so it's nice to walk over.

We love the new menu at Tenjin. The lunch was delightful, the service was outstanding, and we felt welcomed into the restaurant. We loved Renga-Tei and now we know we will love Tenjin just as much - if not more! Thank you so much for the amazing food. We decided we wanted to return every month for lunch so we could try everything on the menu!

The food quality was good. However, our food took a while to arrive at the table. And some orders were wrong. For instance, we asked for no sauce on the steak and it came with it on top anyway. We asked for no octopus and got it anyway. Our appetizers arrived after our entrees. The kitchen staff needs to improve a little. Wait staff was very nice and present. Prices have gone up since old owners, without much improvement.

Hadn’t been here in a really long time and we were not disappointed!! The food was still great and portions very reasonable. Will be back again soon!

Tenjin is a friendly restaurant serving classic Japanese family food: katsu, udon, teriyaki, tempura, as well as sushi/sashimi. Because it follows Japanese standards of service, you are as well taken care of as any much fancier place. The food is excellent and a good value for quality. Eating with kids, we explored katsu a lot, but also sashimi plates and all was excellent.

First time we went was a couple months ago and we had the tasting menu. We were impressed with all the items, everything was fresh, delicious and the staff were very attentive to us. The coffee jello dessert was unexpectedly delightful. We went again last night and had the gyoza, edamame, a few of their specialty rolls and a dessert. - crunchy tune (so tasty we ordered 2) - Japanese sweet potato roll - Tamago nigiri Everything was delicious as so fresh. We love Asian food, one of our favorite restaurants is Nobu and Arami on Chicago avenue. We are bringing friends in a couple weeks. And have been spreading the word to our other foodie friends. Our bill was about 100.00 and that included a cork fee of 15 dollars which was surprisingly affordable. We are very happy they provide a the cork fee option! Can't wait to try more items on the menu.

This restaurant has been a staple for us since the mid 1970’s. The most recent owners are only the 3rd. This last visit had a dedicated lunch & expanded menu. We chose the sashimi, saba & salmon lunch boxes. The food was fresh, tasted great & authentic & serving sizes appropriate.
