For all of February, we will be participating in NorthShore Restaurant Month featuring our first ever Prefix menu!

Renga Tei is a Japanese restaurant specializing in simple sushi, sashimi and authentic traditional recipes. Guests can choose from a variety of traditional offerings, including various bento boxes for lunch, saba (mackerel) in teriyaki or shio style, katsu curry, udon or soba noodle dishes and a variety of fresh sushi. Renga Tei visitors can enjoy the flavors of the agedashi tofu or the vegetable tempura for a vegetarian friendly meal. We offer daily specials including Hamachi Kama Shioyaki or Char-broiled Yellowtail collar. Don't forget to add refreshing beer or sake to complete your meal!

My family is from out of town and they came to dine here. They said the food was the best Japanese food they’ve ever had :)

Been going to this restaurant since the 90s. Ordered the same meal throughout these years. I believed the ownership changed and so as the way the cook their Combo A. Change it back, please.

I have not been to RengaTei for a number of years. Now under new ownership since last year, the trip back was worth it. The food was excellent, very fresh and well prepared. The restaurant is clean, bright and a very comfortable space. It is my understanding that the current owners is changing the name and updating the excellent classic Japanese menu. I am eager to return.

Delightful spot -- wonderful sushi, fresh and well-prepared. Great atmosphere. We loved it and will be back!

Long time customer. Our server Nina was exceptional as usual. We had sanma & salmon & both were very good.

What a wonderful place to enjoy lunch with my friend for my birthday. It was such a nice treat - and the service was extraordinary. The food was very good - and so much for lunch. We th enjoyed ourselves. Thank you!

We have been coming to Renga-Tei restaurant since it 1st opened. Having changed owners within the last year, they have slowly been transitioning menus & staff, we are now pleased with how it has evolved. It is easy to make a reservation through Open Table. The food was delicious & a good menu selection A fixed menu option available also.
