Executive Chef Brian Whitson uses locally-sourced ingredients, most from with 117 miles of the restaurant, to craft a menu that has something for everyone, from extra lumpy crab cakes to wood-fired pizza and more.

Regions 117 is truly a treasure, as it is the only venue for lakeside dining in the Valley, located just behind the gates at the dynamic Shenandoah Lodge. We welcome all who enjoy delicious food paired with an uninterrupted view of the 117-acre Lake Frederick from inside, or out on our expansive Veranda.

Great Brussel Sprouts!! Two of us shared an order and really did not need much else for lunch. Amiance was wonderful— even burst of rain.

After being seated for brunch at noon on a Sunday, we waited almost 10 minutes to be greeted by a server. The restaurant didn’t seem very busy at all, as there were several empty tables. The server took our orders for food and drink and it was about 15 minutes until we got our drinks, and after 45 minutes from when we sat down, we were still waiting to get our food. The kitchen is exposed, so you can see all the dishes sitting in the warmer as they’re made, and I could see my my meal sitting there for at least 10 minutes. The food was good, but the slow service detracted from the experience. I’m hoping it was a random fluke and am willing to go again for a dinner service, but if the service is just as slow I won’t be returning.

We arrived quite early for our reservation and were seated immediately. My wife had the crab cakes & rates them as the best she's had in a long time. I had the Catfish & Shrimp Étouffée, what an amazing dish! New Orleans would be proud!

Food took a bit longer than expected but the service was good and the Manager greeted me by name and remembered talking to me. The food was very good.

We had reservations for this Saturday lunchtime visit. I have to say that this was our fourth visit with the exact confusion and wait at the hostess stand. For some reason, it seems as if the 1-3 hostesses never can figure out or agree upon seating! Be that as it is, we had a lovely table on the covered deck overlooking the lake. Our server was quick and attentive; maybe a little too quick as we felt a little rushed and things like spoons and clean forks were forgotten. We started with crab dip served with three pretzel rolls. It was generous, hot and filling. My husband ordered a pizza; they have changed the crust since our last visit. It was still good and a generous size. I ordered a Mediterranean veg. salad topped with steak; it was perfectly prepared. We ended with an espresso and cappucino; good enough but both very weak and lukewarm. All in all, it was a good ezperience and we will go again. BTW, the burger and sandwiches are gigantic!

We frequent regions 117 often and love it every time! Our server this time seemed to be having a rough day, but still over all a great time!

The lunchtime service and food here are always excellent. Outdoor dining on a nice day is quite pleasant. I appreciate the many “side” choices when ordering a sandwich. My crab cake and fresh salad were tasty and a good value as well.

This is the second time my book club has met at Region 117. I have eaten at 117 quite often but some of our members had not. They have been so impressed both last month and this month that we are coming back next month. I personally love trying different entrees each time so looking forward to trying the kale and quinoa salad next time. I also love how easy it is to make our reservation via Open Table. Thanks to a great staff.
