Located just a few meters from the Duomo in Florence, Regina Bistecca is a restaurant dedicated to the true “bistecca alla fiorentina” and traditional Florentine food culture.
For over 140 years the same address has been the location for the antiquarian bookseller Gonnelli, which has been in the same family for four generations and has now relocated.
Although nowadays offering something different, the objective was to preserve and maintain the unique atmosphere of a historical place in which to offer a gratifying experience merging food, art, and history.

Eccellente!!!! Abbiamo scelto una bistecca Fiorentina che è stata buonissima. Il personale molto gentile, attento e competente. Ritorneremo sicuramente!!!! Consigliato per chi desidera un alta qualità del cibo e non solo!

Should’ve heeded previous reviews. Fine, but so not worth the $400/$100 pp tab for a mediocre experience.

Despite a screaming baby (what reasonable restaurant allows that to go on for hours?) and slow and haphazard service, the food was tasty if a bit standard issue. Aside from the impeccable cuts of meat, the place is a steakhouse after all. It’s good that it’s a steakhouse that is really good at beef. Everything else was basic. I might try another Florentine steakhouse before I went back to this one but it’s worth starting g your Florentine beef adventure here.

Had a wonderful anniversary dinner. Steak was delicious, serve, wonderful and the ambience made the whole night special. Definitely the perfect place for a special evening but great anytime.

The server never asked us what we wanted to drink. She came to the table and presented us with 2 steaks and asked which one we wanted. We chose the bone in filet. She didn’t ask how we wanted it cooked, but we were told that all of the steaks were rare to medium rare which was fine with us. We ordered a side of gnocchi to go with our steak but she did not give us time to order anything else or to request anything. After we ordered the steak, I had to flag someone down to order wine. The gnocchi arrived one minute after we received the wine and about 15 minutes later we received steaks. Not the bone in steak that we ordered, but just 2 filets. The flavor was excellent but the steaks were well done. When I showed her that it wasn’t what we ordered and that it was well done, she got a major attitude and told me that it was cooked medium. Finally I just got up and went to speak to the manager, Svetlana. She was very nice helpful and tried her best to turn a horrible experience into something salvageable. The couple next to us felt so bad for us that they offered to share their meal. Very sweet, but we didn’t accept their generous offer. I think it would have been a great experience if we had a different server.

From the minute you walk in, you get treated like royalty, Complmetary glass of champagne, Warm and welcoming atmosphere World class service 👏 Food Where to start Beef tarter prepared to perfection And the aged steak is as good as advertised Wine and desert along with a digestive drink And call it a memorable evening.
