Bringing some LA vibes to the northeast. REGARDS draws inspiration from the diverse food culture of Los Angeles. We highlight flavor profiles from Japan and Mexico with the freshest of Maine produce and products.

The menu at REGARDS has bright, zippy ceviches and crudos, rich tamales, plump Argentinian shrimp tacos, along with mezcal cured hamachi collars, crab rice and grilled cabbage with caesar.

Clarified lime margaritas with eucalyptus or our gin and sotol martinis with hibiscus pair with our adventurous menu. We pour natural wine and have a large selection of curated mezcals and tequilas.

A place for us and for you. Might not make sense, but it sure is delicious. Across the street from Reny's. Nearby Maine College of Art, Portland Stage Company, State Theatre, Empire Comedy Club and Blue Jazz Club.

Wow. Crazy good! It’s pretty loud. Great for foodies. They did not have dessert.

Creative and well done food . Wasn’t a huge fan of the Tamale , but that was only personal preference . Mushroom dish was spot on. My wife usually doesn’t enjoy mushrooms but she ate half of it . Cabbage was what I was most looking forward to and it didn’t disappoint . that Caesar dressing is life changing . Avocado tostada was nice , I wanted some maldon on the avocado , but it was very texturally pleasing and the tortilla they are using is next level . service was a bit lackluster , couldn’t identify a FOH manager presence , so that could have been part of the issue . Overall would definitely return . Excellent hospitality would have made it a 6/5 .

INCREDIBLE. Truly took us by surprise. The menu is intimidating but our waiter was incredible and walked us through it all. Every dish was absolutely phenomenal. 1000000/10

Excellent food, great drinks and phenomenal service. Amount of food for the price wasn’t great but understandable due to the quality of the ingredients and the expertise in creating the dishes.

It has been six months since my husband and I have dined at Regards. It was not the same culinary experience from previous meals there. Our waitress was very nice and her description of the cocktails helped me nail down a tasty beverage. Something was very different about the food though. The ancho macha sauce in the avocado dish did not taste the same and was less flavorful and the tortilla that accompanied it was hard and difficult to chew. The cabbage was bland although the dressing made it more palatable. The tamale was unique, but also very grainy and lacked flavor. Our favorite dish was the shrimp taco despite it being very salty. In fact, all the food was overly salty. This used to be one of my favorite restaurants, but I can't say that it is anymore. I gave 4 stars because the overall experience was pleasant, although not as memorable as previous dining experiences at Regards.

Really inspired culinary creations and a great atmosphere. Highly recommend the quest blanco and the avocado dishes!
