Red Salt Room mixes signatures of renowned chef David Burke like the clothesline bacon and his patented use of Himalayan salt to dry age steaks, with Executive Chef Anup Patwal's intricate seasonal New American menu. Awarded the American Academy of Hospitality Science's "Five Star" Diamond award, Red Salt Room will transport guests to the kind of luxury and elegance they have come to expect from The Garden City Hotel.

Dinner:
- Wednesday & Thursday 5pm to 9pm
- Friday & Saturday 5pm to 9:30pm
Brunch:
- Sunday: Seatings 11am and 1:30pm

Dress Code: tastefully casual. No hats, sweatpants, tank tops, crop tops, flip-flips, open toe shoes on gentlemen, or pool/gym attire. Hoodies are allowed, but hoods must be worn down.

For parties of 8 or more, a $50 deposit per guest is required, and will be redeemed on the date of the reservation.

Fantastic dining experience. Service by JC was outstanding. Food (apps, porterhouse, lobsters, sides, deserts) & cocktails were great. Only recommendation is the bar needs to use large single cube of ice in cocktails.

Dinner was very good with the exception of one appetizer that was unappetizingly spicy and should have been indicated on the menu and the waitstaff was very attentive and friendly. We had a horrible table and felt on top of the adjacent table which was particularly unfortunate.

Extremely enjoyable evening. The ambience, the staff, the food were all five star. Everyone is so pleasant and professional. We've dined here a number of times and have never had or even witnessed poor or rude service. Our server for the evening was Mary. A professional in every sense of the word, Mary makes certain her customers are treated with the politeness and attentiveness one expects from a fine dining restaurant. Thank you Mary. Jose Luis assisted Mary. Great team. Now, for the meal. We started with Caesar Salads. My wife then had the Dry Aged Beef Cheek Pappardelle while my entree for the evening was the delicious Wagyu Short Ribs. For sides, we chose to add the Sauteed Baby Spinach to our regular choice of Grilled Asparagus. The entire meal was prepared perfectly and was delicious. The wine we chose was a delicious Brunello di Montalcino. Looking forward to our next visit. Thank you RSR.

Our family had a lovely time at brunch! Service was wonderful, as usual!! Food was delicious with so much to choose from. Nicely and tastefully decorated for Halloween and the Fall season! A+

Happy to have been to the Red Salt Room. The meal was was a bit overpriced….not unexpected. What I would have expected was a five star meal. Both my dinner partner and I thought it fell slightly short of that. Annoying, was that neither bread nor a dinner roll was provided. Bread had to be ordered from the menu. While the product was very good (4 richly buttered warm rolls) a plain dinner roll/bread slice would have been preferred. I’m happy I dined there and I guess if I’m being honest with myself, the issue with the bread is what set the stage for the rest of the meal. Just seemed so mercenary.

Fantastic Experience! We have relatives who stay with us every year and who look forward to dining with us at the RSR when they visit from out of state. This year we made sure to dine here twice and both evenings went perfectly. Our server both evenings was Mary. Our guests were looking forward to seeing Mary again and were very happy she was our server. Mary remembered them from previous visits and made them feel right at home. Thank you Mary. They also were happy to see Jose Luis again. His professionalism and attention to detail did not go unnoticed. Thank you Jose. The food was delicious and prepared to perfection. Escargot, Butternut Squash Soup, Caesar Salads, Candied Clothesline Bacon, for starters. The entrees consisted of Surf & Turf, Lobster Tagliatelle, Chicken Milanese, Double Cut Berkshire Pork Chop, Wagyu Short Ribs & Filet Mignon. The sides were Asparagus, Brussels Sprouts, Hipster Fries. Each expertly prepared. The wines Mary brought us - Louis Jadot Pouilly-Fuisse, Col d'Orcia Brunello, Jadot Santenay- paired perfectly with our meals. Our guests have returned home and I'm certain they're looking forward to their next visit to New York and the RSR. A final thanks to management for stopping by our table and making our guests feel so welcome.

Garden City Hotel Rose Room is one of the best brunch places for celebrating birthdays and special occasions. We were put in the Red Salt Room bc Rose Room was closed for a private event. We had a fabulous time either way!
