Red Salt Room mixes signatures of renowned chef David Burke like the clothesline bacon and his patented use of Himalayan salt to dry age steaks, with Executive Chef Anup Patwal's intricate seasonal New American menu. Awarded the American Academy of Hospitality Science's "Five Star" Diamond award, Red Salt Room will transport guests to the kind of luxury and elegance they have come to expect from The Garden City Hotel.

Dinner:
- Wednesday & Thursday 5pm to 9pm
- Friday & Saturday 5pm to 9:30pm
Brunch:
- Sunday: Seatings 11am and 1:30pm

Dress Code: tastefully casual. No hats, sweatpants, tank tops, crop tops, flip-flips, open toe shoes on gentlemen, or pool/gym attire. Hoodies are allowed, but hoods must be worn down.

For parties of 8 or more, a $50 deposit per guest is required, and will be redeemed on the date of the reservation.

Excellent menu so much so hard to make a choice. We shared watermelon and feta salad. Yum! We also enjoyed coconut gazpacho...another Yum! Bone in rib eye with mash potatoes along with short rib gnocchi...Wow! Overall food was superb and service both helpful and attentive. We would return in a heartbeat

It was hot and humid outside but the climate inside was perfect. We had a very nice evening at the RSR recently. Our server was Mary. We look forward to seeing her each visit. Jose Luis assisted Mary. We hadn't seen him for several visits and it was good to see him again. It was also good to see server Moe. He usually manages to stop and see us and exchange pleasantries. A professional. As for our dinners, I started with the Caesar Salad. My wife went with the Crab Cakes. The warm weather led us to each have Chicken Milanese paired with a chilled bottle of Domaines Ott Rose. Perfect. A side of Brussels Sprouts left us with room only for some freshly brewed coffee. A very nice experience. Thank you RSR.

Very nice dinner. For starters, my wife had the Burrata Salad while I had the Caesar Salad. Our server Mary suggested a Domaines Ott Rose to pair with my Pork Chop and my wife's Risotto with Crab. Excellent choice of wine. We shared a side of asparagus. Some freshly brewed coffee put a perfect finishing touch on a delicious dinner. Thank you RSR.

Definitely a special occasion restaurant. My family are all big eaters but we all agreed we could not eat like this more than once a year. We started with their signature bread, which was light and delicious. For an appetizer I had the buratta, which was amazing. My husband had the the Caesar salad, our daughter the Octopus and potatoes, which was like something you would get at a Tapas bar, but far better, and our son the short rib and lobster dumplings. All portions were large and definitely shareable for 2-3. The 7 oz. Filet mignon with lump crab cake was ordered by 3 of us. Out so. Had the short ribs. It is listed as “short rib” on the menu but was actually 2 huge short ribs. For sides we had the hipster fries, Mac and cheese and creamed spinach. The waiter had warned us that one order of Mac and cheese would be enough for all of him, but like said, we are big eaters and didn’t listen to him. We should have. One order was definitely enough for all of us to share. The hipster fries are French fries topped with bacon, cherry peppers and tomatoes. Even without the toppings they were the best fries I have ever had. The creamed spinach was delicious, you could taste the freshness of the spinach, but the portion was far smaller than that of the Mac and cheese or the fries. We each had a small serving but it was so rich that it is probably for the best that it was small. For dessert we all chose the Gianduia chocolate cake. It was our daughter’s birthday and hers came on a plate with Happy Birthday written in dark chocolate and a candle for the cake. It was a nice touch. Many restaurants have ignored when I have listed a special occasion on the reservation. We were also greeted with a Happy Birthday from the hostess when we arrived. Service here was great, with our water glasses always kept filled. This is no easy task as our son is a huge water drinker. Our usual restaurants know him and just give him his own pitcher when they see us.
