At Red Rooster we want to share the story of Overtown with our guests, and offer a platform to celebrate local artists, musicians and culinary talents. We embrace today’s Overtown with a spirit of inclusiveness and community by hiring our family of staff from within the community; inspiring better eating through buying from local purveyors.

Service was great. The wait staff was very attentive. The food was delicious! I had a veggie omelette with crispy potatoes and fruit (The waitress was nice enough to replace the meat option for a side of fruit.) The ambience is amazing. Very inviting. Love the live band. The violinist was incredible. Great time overall.

The updates to the menus are great. The four of us shared the Jubilee platter. Everything was delicious!! Also the service was great😊😊

The restaurant is beautiful and food was pretty good. Good music and vibes. However, I made a reservation and still ended up waiting 1hr30mins to be seated. And the hostess was defensive and a tad rude when I asked simple questions like how long is the wait.. I had my children with me and they were starving so it was a reasonable question to ask. Other than that it was a decent experience.

We came to celebrate Father’s Day here. I usually love this restaurant, but we had an appointment for 1 PM, did not get seasoned until 2 PM, and did not have our food until 3 PM. I understand it was Father’s Day, but a two hour delay for an appointment is rather ridiculous. In addition to the delay, the actual surface is very unapologetic and minimally accommodating. Another simply left after waiting one hour for food to arrive. I will certainly avoid this restaurant on any major holiday. The saving grace is the food and the atmosphere, which is certainly great.

I writing this review as I’m currently sitting in the restaurant. I made a reservation for 1pm. We were a party of 2. We were not seated until 2:10. That’s right, we waited over a hour and we had a reservation booked DAYS in advance. There were several parties that came in after us and were seated before us. We promptly placed our drink orders and food orders and so far we have only received the appetizers and 2 drinks. It’s 3:12pm…this is crazy. Brunch should not take 3 hours. As long as this restaurant has been here they should be more organized. The food so far has been pretty good, but it’s definitely not worth the wait. What was supposed to be a fun birthday brunch has turned into a complete headache. Service needs A LOT of work.

Food was top top top… my fave was the Oxtail egg Benedict. Service was ok, but very delayed, specially because it was Father’s day
