Located in the heart of Overtown, Red Rooster serves comfort food celebrating the roots of American cuisine and the diverse culinary traditions of the neighborhood. At Red Rooster, we want to share the story of Overtown with our guests, and offer a platform to celebrate local artists, musicians and culinary talents. We embrace today's Overtown with a spirit of inclusiveness and community by hiring our family of staff from within the community; inspiring better eating through buying from local purveyors. Overtown is a unique and historically rich neighborhood that we are honored to be a part of. We went for the MLK brunch buffet, and the food was good. Only thing is that some foods could’ve been hotter. Other than that, the ambience was nice, staff was kind, and the music was at a great volume.

Went for MLK brunch buffet. Nice atmosphere. Wide variety of food. Some of the food was cold. I personally like my food hot. Other than that good experience.

Red Rooster's Sunday Buffet was good. The ambience was comfortable, and the service was also good. The music in the background was old-school themed, which was great, although a bit loud to hold conversations. The overall price for the buffet was not bad. The food was kind of back-yard themed type barbecue, kebob style lamb, chicken, and barbecued salmon, along with different sides, such as the macaroni & cheese, and grits. The macaroni & cheese and grits were wonderful. The barbecued salmon was also great. They also had oysters which were not bad and an assortment of desserts. I wish they had more at-home baked assorted desserts. Seemed as if the desserts were brought from outside vendors and not what I expected to have at this establishment. Overall, a good place to hang out at and eat on a Sunday afternoon.

Overall a good experience. A little on the pricey side but the dishes were delicious.
