Located in the heart of Overtown, Red Rooster serves comfort food celebrating the roots of American cuisine and the diverse culinary traditions of the neighborhood. At Red Rooster, we want to share the story of Overtown with our guests, and offer a platform to celebrate local artists, musicians and culinary talents. We embrace today's Overtown with a spirit of inclusiveness and community by hiring our family of staff from within the community; inspiring better eating through buying from local purveyors. Overtown is a unique and historically rich neighborhood that we are honored to be a part of.     Happy hour is kinda pricey, draft beers not available , the lovely window to outdoors not open. Staff were a delight except the hostess who made us wait 5 mins while she counted all her tickets ? Not sure what that was about, add more goodies to HH menu, no sauv blanc or dessert cmon

    Food was amazing. Ribs were next level. We got the cookout platter. Tim was an excellent server. Can’t wait to go back next time we are in Miami!

    We want to brunch and tried the chicken and waffles and the smoked brisket hash. Both were very good. Really lovely outside dining area.

    Our experience was limited to the Thanksgiving menu, which unfortunately did not permit any add-ons or additional food items. While some side dishes were acceptable, they arrived lukewarm. The meat entrees, however, were enjoyable. The cornbread was hard, and we were disappointed with the remaining dessert options, as most of them were already taken. The wait for our food was excessively long, leading us to question why our meals weren't served hot. As social media influencers, we will certainly share our thoughts on the "Good," "Bad," and "Ugly" aspects of our Thanksgiving experience. Thank you.

    Our Thanksgiving dinner here was a complete disaste. Despite having a reservation, we had to wait 30 minutes for our table. To pass the time, we grabbed drinks at the bar, but when we didn’t hear them call our name, the staff were dismissive and unapologetic about the delay. One of our group is gluten-free, and the restaurant’s handling of this was abysmal. We had called twice earlier in the day and the day before with no response to ask specificially about gluten-free options. When we got there and asked which menu items could be made gluten free, we were told they could not accommodate at all and only after repeated questioning were we told which items were gluten-free—which turned out to be practically nothing. The lack of effort in accommodating dietary needs was shocking for a $95 prix fixe menu. The service was also inattentive. Our waitress was kind but completely overwhelmed, likely due to being grossly understaffed. We waited a while for our food, and when it finally arrived, we had to request cutlery. Even then, plates were not provided, so we ate directly off the shared serving dishes. This level of disorganization for such an expensive meal was unacceptable. As for the food itself, it was highly disappointing. The turkey was a wing with barely any meat, that we were told when we ordered could be shared between three people. Other dishes were bland or uninspired—certainly not worth the hefty price tag. Dessert was the final insult. After dinner, we were directed upstairs for dessert, only to be turned away because we needed proof of payment—a detail the waitress never mentioned. We even showed the credit card statement and were told this was not enough. When we finally sorted this out, we were greeted with a sparse and unimpressive selection. Promised items like sweet potato pie and chocolate pecan pie were missing, and nothing, not even the macarons, was gluten-free. Overall, this was a poorly managed, overpriced experience. I would never recommend this.

    I took my parents for their first time on thanksgiving and they heavily enjoyed the food especially the catfish and turkey and the atmosphere. Thank you for having us see you soon.
