Located in the heart of Overtown, Red Rooster serves comfort food celebrating the roots of American cuisine and the diverse culinary traditions of the neighborhood. At Red Rooster, we want to share the story of Overtown with our guests, and offer a platform to celebrate local artists, musicians and culinary talents. We embrace today's Overtown with a spirit of inclusiveness and community by hiring our family of staff from within the community; inspiring better eating through buying from local purveyors. great time. service was very good as was the food. we had the jambalaya with chicken, oxtail, salmon, rice, plantains and okra. also delicious corn bread. always great there

Excellent food and service! Pedro and Charlotte were friendly and helpful. The Avocado Toast and the Herb Cheddar Omelette were absolutely delicious! We highly recommend this restaurant for its food, location, ambience and great service. Cheers to Marcus Samuelson for this wonderful restaurant!! :)

The food was delicious. Our table had for apps, corn bread, deviled eggs and wings, all good. For dinner, Fried Chicken with collard greens and Oxtail with rice, both entrees were flavourful and portions were plenty. Only negative, 1 server but manager was also helping out. Highly recommend

Great food and service for starters the corn bread and deviled eggs for entrees the party had chicken and waffles and the oxtail no complaints highly recommend it

Unique take on southern dishes. Lamb and greens were the best. Don’t skip the corn bread. Wait staff impeccable! Thanks for a wonderful meal!

Our server was excellent and the food (ribeye, catfish, cornbread) was delicious. Steak was cooked perfectly.

All very nice. The person delivering our orders seemed clueless as to whom to deliver them, and we did have to find silverware for our added dishes.
