Loved this place! The food was fantastic and service was great. I had the risotto and it was excellent. I wish I could have tried everything on the menu as everything brought out to the other customers looked delicious! I go to Waterton every other year, this was the first time going here and I’ll make a point to go to this place every visit in the future.

We both chose the special Trattoria Lasagna. The combination of meats was heavy on the veal (which tasted as though it had been frozen) and very weak on the beef and had no taste of bison at all. That being said, there was nothing wrong with it, it just would have been better with the gamey taste of bison to give the flavor a boost. The waitress was lovely as was the hostess. When we finished our meal, we were the first ones done that night, and the waitress discovered a problem with the card machine. The waitress did keep apologizing, obviously embarrassed by the situation. Apparently, that had never happened before, so hopefully, it will never happen again.

We had the beef carpaccio and caprese salad to start…simple and delicious. The chicken & gnocchi my partner had was plentiful, and my seafood pasta was great too.

The restaurant is part of a small hotel. The decor is sparse but our waitress was attentive and the cocktails just the way we ordered them. Our salads and apps were tasty although the greens could have been a little fresher. I don't like picking black wilted leaves out of my dish.

Meatballs were raw in th middle. Overall food was ok for Italian. I have had much better for the price. Service was good - and meatballs re made quickly.

This place is excellent, probably the best place to eat in waterton. Romantic, great service, best meal my hubby and I have had on our vacation. A hidden gem, do not miss!

Food was quite good. Service was quite slow, however there was only two waitresses. One (Anna from Georgia) seemed to be doing most of the work. At one point it seemed almost all the tables were full. It took a long time to get drinks and our food. I found the prices a little high but I guess it is summer.

This is a hard review to write. The restaurant has a new chef. We were very understanding about the slowness of the food preparation due to the new chef. Unfortunately when the main entree’s came out they were awful. We had lasagna and spaghetti with meatballs. The dinners were uninspired. They were very bland and I needed to use a knife to cut the very overcooked lasagna noodles. The carpaccio appetizer was very good. The menu is very compelling. There is also a decent wine list. I think with time the restaurant well return to greatness.

There were only 2 tables taken when we sat down (it was empty!) yet after we were seated, they sat a couple directly beside us, only a couple feet away! It felt like we were with them, given the entire restaurant was empty! Our $18 Caprese salad consisted of ONE underripe tomato and 3 grape tomatoes cut in half with a flavourless piece of mozzarella. Risotto was undercooked and crunchy in parts- no flavour. Everything was overpriced, VERY small quantities and very bland. The restaurant was empty yet when we were done our first drink, we sat with empty glasses for a long, long time. Our server wasn’t visible anywhere. We were fed up waiting, got the bill and left. Would not go back.

What an amazing experience! The staff was kind, friendly, and helpful. The food was outstanding! We had mussels, clams and also the prawns for appetizers, and the veal shank and spicy bolognese for entrees. We couldn’t have asked for a better meal. We have gluten and dairy allergies and the restaurant was very helpful accommodating us. Highly recommend!
