Restaurant sur deux étages offrant une fine cuisine décontractée (ainsi qu'une terrasse extérieure), le Red Pony est clairement devenue la destination favorite pour une expérience gastronomique sur l'historique Main Street à Franklin. Les chefs Jason McConnell et Carl Schultheis se sont associés pour créer un menu convivial et varié utilisant uniquement les produits les plus frais cultivés localement, les viandes et les fruits de mer. Les deux chefs qui ont travaillé ensemble pendant six ans allient leurs styles et techniques culinaires pour créer de nouveaux produits à tous les jours. Élu "Meilleur nouveau restaurant en 2006" par le magazine Southern Exposure, le menu du Red Pony est sacré comme «habile dans sa simplicité et intriguant dans sa mondanité».

Excellent evening out! My wife and I enjoyed two outstanding entrees. She ordered the fried half chicken- which was very good but she loved the accompanying roasted Brussel sprouts! I had the shrimp and grits which was thoroughly enjoyed. The evening was made all the better by excellent service from Elijah. All in all a very enjoyable and tasty evening.

We had another wonderful meal at Red pony! Heather was our server again and service was excellent! Thanks so much! Hats off to the chef- the lamb chops are absolutely amazing, salmon better than ever and even the kale salad delights! Love this place!

We were visiting the area and staying near downtown Franklin where the restaurant is located. According to our server, the chef/owner owns several other restaurants in the area as well. We chose it based on initial read of menu and ratings on TripAdvisor - not good on either account on our part. Menu offered an "interesting" collection of food options which, according to our server, were a reflection of the chef/owners southern upbringing and international travel experience. Unfortunately, the menu options were not appealing on the whole and were highly priced for the food content, in our opinion. As a result, my wife and I both selected an appetizer (lamb chops with chimichurri sauce). Chops were done to our request and good but too much sauce. My wife started with a salad and we added a side of grilled bok choy (tasty). I had two glasses of the cabernet on the wine list, but all-in-all selections by the glass were limited and very pricey. Wine list was even more so. Service was attentive, and appropriate. Place filled up, so it appeared popular, but I would hope there are better options for the cost.

The food, service, and ambiance of Red Pony is first class. It is one of my favorite restaurants in all of Nashville. Highly recommend!

Nino(sp) was our server and was knowledgeable and attentive without being intrusive. Helped our guests choose their meals and his recommendations were spot on! Food was innovative and excellent. Our second time here and it has excellent both times.

The Red Pony never disappoints. What a fantastic restaurant and the menu is so creative. Just delicious, thanks for being in our cute town of Franklin! We wish you were open for lunch. Our waitress was lovely too.

We dined at 7:30pm on Friday, 9/21, and we were a party of 8, upstairs celebrating my mom’s 80th BD & SIL 50th BD. Our original reservation was at 6:30pm but I spoke with Moira earlier & she was kind enough to not only allow us to expand our party to 8 but make it for an hour later. So nice. The room upstairs was very cool. The downside came with our server. I cannot remember his name but man in his 50s with brown hair. We weren’t sure what we wanted to order & were thinking maybe just starters. He explained the menu and the restaurant but it went on about 5-10 mins longer than it should have. We ordered 3 glasses a wine initially and the others drank sparkling water. At one point, he brought over another glass of wine and started to pour it in my sisters glass that had a lime in it bc she was drinking sparkling water. But first, he ordered her to dump the lime out of the glass and then was planning on pouring the wine in that same glass. Well she didn’t order it, and then he asked my SIL, who was drinking wine if she wanted it and she said sure, not knowing that he was actually charging her for it. He should never order a customer to dump out a lime so he could pour wine in it. So rude. Get a new glass. Never could get the drinks right. We ended up ordering lots of starters and salads but he was really jammed up about it & made us feel like we were less than or even low class that we wanted to order that way. One of the girls did order the tenderloin. Mind you, our bill was almost $500. We didn’t get the bread service you paid for - we had 8 people at our table & the bread service was for 3-4 people so we ordered 2.. Gazpacho was gross. Watermelon salad, poor presentation. But the kicker was, he made this BIG speech about how he would like to treat the BD girls to dessert & let them pick. A runner brought desserts, no happy birthday, nothing. BUT THEN HE CHARGED US FOR IT. Just ridiculous. Bad experience

We really enjoyed our experience. Wonderful food and knowledgeable service on all aspects (food, drinks, dessert). The first floor seems to have a livelier and more evocative atmosphere. We were put on the 2nd floor which was still very nice but not quite the same. Very nice and we will be back.
