The Greedy Gordons Pub company welcome you to the Red Lion. Managed by Ashley Headland, he brings a strong team of consistency and knowledge.

Situated in the heart of Cranford near Kettering a village steeped in history & the pub being the mainstay since the 1700’s.

Head Chef Ben Drury brings loads of experience by bring people together with our love of great food and drink delivered with passion.

Priding ourselves on being ECO-local we have reduced our carbon footprint by using local produce, recycling & upcycling as much as possible as well as providing waste for Bio Fuel. #EcoLocalRedLion.

All welcome and catered for including dogs!

Having previously visited more than 25 years ago, I took my partner for a birthday meal. The welcome was good and we had reasonable time to decide on our order. The server understood my partner's vinegar intolerance and confirmed that the kitchen would adapt any menu items that contained it. Shortly after ordering, a bottle of wine was dumped on the table, after which it was replaced with the correct wine. Nothing was said. The meal itself was well cooked and very good with adequate portions for starters, mains and desserts; and we enjoyed the chocolate eggs that were served with the coffee. The ambience within the restaurant was agreeable, with a charming rustic feel. All went well with the meal and the card payment was easy. As we left not a word of thanks or farewell was said. In fact the server standing closest to us clearly couldn't wait to clear the table, almost colliding with us. A little thanks or even a cheery "good night" goes a long way in generating goodwill, especially at this time of year.

Absolutely fantastic evening, service was spot on and the food, some of the best i have had. The steaks were tender and full of flavour, the burger juicy and rich and the pork belly was delicious. Will definitely be coming here again!

Visited The Red Lion today. Excellent lunch, perfect service and great value! Will definitely return again and would highly recommend this venue to others.

Sunday lunch - food was mostly nice but the roast potatoes and cauliflower cheese appeared to have been made in advance and heated - just. The potatoes were hard and very dry and the cauliflower cheese was dry too and neither were hot. The meat and veg were nice but for £30 each it wasn’t great value.

I always enjoy eating at The Red Lion. The environment is very good, the food is always enjoyable and that staff are friendly and helpful.

Fantastic food and service, staff were all so lovely and helpful The food was outstanding and enjoyed by all The pub/restaurant looked beautiful and table was decorated for Xmas with Xmas crackers which was a lovely touch
