Situated in the heart of the Jewellery Quarter on Warstone Lane; The Red Lion is a traditional pub, rich in both local heritage and modern art. There's even a secret beer garden but that's between us!

Really enjoyed the food. Pleasant surroundings. Will be booking Sunday lunch again next time in vicinity.

Sadly I sat next to four people who screamed at each other to be heard in a small lounge area and their toddler did the same, if it wasn’t for them the experience would have been so much better. It’s a small space so your pretty much on top of each other, the staff were busy but still found the time to check in and serve well, the place needs decorating and they’d thrown some Halloween stuff around the place, it’s nice to have our historical buildings still in tact so that is wonderful but it definitely needs a tidy up, food was plentiful and I did enjoy it, beef and lamb cooked to perfection. I would go again but did worry about the parking outside, Bham town centre is always a worry.

We booked and arrived for lunch at the pub on Saturday. Unfortunately we were the only diners, so moved to the bar area which was not ideal as it was rowdy. The food was all excellent and great value for money. So we had a great meal, but left straight after. Maybe go on Sundays to dine, when its busier.

The beef was wonderful - good quality and quantity. However everything was just warm and some vegetables were too hard . If vegetables were cooked consistently - the roast potatoes appeared to have been sitting and overcooking for a long time I would have given overall 4s or 5s.

We eat quite often at The Red Lion as the food is amazing and served quite quick but on our recent visit Billy was on his own serving the food and drinks to a table of 8. He was run of his feet and did he's absolute best to make sure all was ok, but sadly my daughter who does not like peas had requested them not to be on her plate, on arrival of her lunch peas we're served to her and in the process of a bowl been requested to remove the peas Billy accidentally knocked her pork off her plate, gravy was quite runny not your usual thickness and there was a very long wait for the food to be served. Maybe if Billy had an additional pair of hands to help him then these issues wouldn't have occurred. We didn't want puddings after the wait and chaos but some people wanted them and again long wait.
