    We had an absolutely delightful experience at Red Horse last night. We took advantage of their Prix Fixe dinner and it was excellent. The choices were very varied and the food was not only delicious, but elegantly displayed and presented as well. We got a very friendly reception from their host, Owen, who not only showed us to our table, but was quite engaging to chat with. Our server, Rose, was outstanding. Again her sweet demeanor and excellent service helped make our dinner as enjoyable as it was. To top it off, the manager, Michelle, offered us after dinner drinks for our Anniversary! I do admit that it was a quieter night at the restaurant than usual, allowing for a bit more personal service, but since it was our third time there, we can speak to its consistent quality. We look forward to returning for another special occasion.

    The dining room was very noisy making it quite difficult to have a conversation AND hear our server.

    Excellent birthday celebration for my husband! We were greeted by the GM Michelle who walked us to our table in the bar area, which had a nice selection of music playing in the background. A handwritten card and two glasses of prosecco were waiting at our table. What a beautiful touch! We ordered our drinks and were quickly served a perfectly chilled glass of Sauvignon Blanc for myself and a delicious Manhattan for my husband. To start our meal, we couldn't resist the clothesline bacon and shrimp spring rolls. The clothesline bacon, hung like laundry, was crispy and smoky, a playful twist on a classic favorite. The shrimp spring rolls were light and flavorful, perfectly complemented by a zesty dipping sauce. For our main courses, we opted for the seared scallops and shrimp with corn and pea risotto, and the NY Strip Steak with couch potatoes and onion rings. The scallops were beautifully seared to perfection, accompanied by a creamy risotto bursting with fresh corn and peas. The NY Strip Steak was tender and juicy, paired with indulgent couch potatoes and crispy onion rings that added a delightful crunch. Dessert was a heavenly finale to our meal. The sugar cookie ice cream sandwich with toasted marshmallow was a nostalgic treat elevated to gourmet heights, while the coconut custard pie with roasted pineapple was a tropical delight that left us craving more. Throughout our dining experience, the service and food at Red Horse was impeccable. Job well done, we can't wait to come back again soon!

    Probably one of the worst dining experiences we had in our 60+ years of experience. The service was an absolute zero. It was so bad the waiter or manager should be immediately fired. Too much to write but will never go back. So many other options for nice dinner experience that I will not go back. Absolutely recommend anyone considering this place should not go and go elsewhere.

    Great! Popover bread appetizer out of this world delectable (and we aren’t even big bread people) and entrees! Young nervous staff but sweet and kind. Their sides are meh (more hype than gastronomically inclined - fries and potatoes overcooked and over smothered). We had the porterhouse - excellent. All the tables for two struggled to find room on the table - especially as the servers push hard for the 3 for $30 sides). If they just served in the actual dish vs putting big huge plates under each dish, there might be room on the table. We had to put those plates on table next to ours (no one ever came to retrieve). They brought our cocktails and too our wine glasses without asking if we were having wine which we were! Incredible to find that kind of quality however in Rumson, NJ and we will return again and again!

    When we came the entire restaurant was empty and I waited for a glass of wine for 20 min. They took our order and we waited for each course a very long time. Finally I said something and they said they short staffed. We left with taking our dessert home. They gave me a $50 credit. Saying that the food was excellent.
