The Red Horse was excellent!! The food was fabulous!! Great ambiance…comfortable, easy to have a conversation, friendly staff. Colette was our waitress…she was wonderful!! Collette was friendly, responded when we asked about food selections, and checked on our drinks and our food satisfaction. We’re looking forward to coming back to the Red Horse!!

We had a wonderful time at the Red Horse in Rumson. Our server, Nicole was personable, knowledgeable and attentive. We went with the chefs tasting/prefix dinner menu, which was an incredible value for all the courses and wine, which was included. The food itself was spaced well and delicious. The ambience was warm and inviting and the music was a nice compliment to the setting. Michele, the manager was charming and friendly: checking in with us in assessing the quality of the evening. We look forward to our next visit!

Spectacular food and service. Lobster dumplings, spring rolls and of course bacon were delicious. Steaks cooked perfectly. Great way to spend the night!

Excellent service and an incredible meal. We recently celebrated our anniversary here, we were greeted with complimentary champagne and a thoughtful card, wishing us a happy anniversary! The meal was amazing, we tried several appetizers on the menu, including the Lobster Dumplings, Shrimp Spring rolls, Oysters, and Hipster fries. Our meal was perfectly cooked and our waiter, Matt, went above and beyond. Highly recommend! Will be back!

My family and I, group of five had dinner on Saturday 9/1/24. Unfortunately, our server spilled red wine all over our table getting it all over our clothes, leaving wine stains on clothes. Although, we were very understanding with the sever (accidents happen), we did not cause any scene, not our style. . We saw how our server was shaken up by this and she was very apologetic so we continued to dine and carry on. My brother in law who picked up the bill, even tipped our server handsomely because he saw how shaken up she was and wanted everyone to just have a nice time. What’s disappointing is the restaurant only removed three drinks from our meal, which we felt was not fair at all considering this is our first time experience at the Red Horse. You would think they would’ve taken better care of us, by at least providing a discounted meal, or even a free round of cocktails. After all it was a celebration and our fist time at this particular establishment .We have dined at other David Burke’s restaurants and we hope to continue to do so. I have reached out to the restaurant and hope they will do right by us.

The staff was amazing! Our server Alexis was so congenial and helpful - she and the manager did their best to make the dining experience great from the moment we walked in till the moment we left- We will come back asap! It was a bit pricy But being treated the way the treated us Made it with it!! Another David Burke gem!

We had previously visited The Red Horse to celebrate my mother's 88th birthday, but our experience fell short of expectations. After that initial visit, I wrote to the restaurant and included Michelle, Thomas, and Brenda in my correspondence to express our disappointment, as my mother did not enjoy the celebration as we had hoped. In response, we received an invitation to return for a "re-do" of our celebration, with a promise of providing the level of service we initially expected. We returned this past week, and the waitress was lovely and very attentive. However, we were saddened to find that, despite several emails explaining our dissatisfaction with spending over $600 during our first visit, we were not offered any gesture to make up for our poor experience. Given the circumstances and our previous communication, we were hopeful that this visit would be different. Unfortunately, it left us feeling just as disappointed as before. For future reference, we suggest that some form of gesture, beyond the waitress being friendly, would be more appropriate for patrons who have had a less-than-ideal experience.

Food was great. Two problems. There was only one waiter. However she was very pleasant and did the best she could. Wasn’t her fault. Second issue was the guy signing in the bar. We were in the dining room with some nice background music. The singer was so loud he ruined any ambiance. He was loud and intrusive. He didn’t even sing that well.
