First time at the Red Fox Amore in Middlefield. Overall, the experience reflected a newly-opened restaurant. Upon arrival, the atmosphere (open dining room to the left with a window view of their fresh pasta maker and a considerable bar area to the right) was nice but there was some initial confusion over who was seating us. The window table was also nice! As was our experience at the RF in Middletown, our service was provided by a tag team of 3-4. The main waiter did not seem to speak clear English and another person had to come over to explain the specials...when a question came up he had to go ask for help. This we could live with, but it reflected some inexperience. My wife had one of the specials, mushroom ravioli with truffles, which was somewhat small in volume for the price but was very tasty. I had the shrimp & clams over linguine from the main menu. The seafood was good but the pasta was overcooked and the whole steaming meal was sitting in a large volume of sauce/broth...seemed to be too much. The flavor was just OK, nothing special...I think it might have been better to serve the pasta mix al dente and in a creamy sauce. Overall, I'd give the new Red Fox a B-minus grade, and I hope they will up their execution with more experience!

We have eaten at all 3 red fox restaurants. This was my favorite the food and drinks were excellent. I believe the owner waited on us and he was very friendly and had a wonderful sense of humor we will go back again.

The night was beautiful so we sat on the outside patio. The service, food, atmosphere was wonderful and we can’t wait to return. Pasta; bolognese and Alfredo were delicious and made in house .

They did a great job on renovating the old building. Very nice staff, the only thing is we realized that you can’t serve pasta al dente when it’s freshly made, which is how we prefer it. The Caesar salad was one of the best we have ever had. The dressing was homemade & delicious. They have a very nice patio area. Overall it was very good

The chicken francaise and chicken parmesan were absolutely delicious. The portions are generous and the homemade pasta is cooked to perfection!

Did a real good job revamping the place from the Red Dog Saloon. Service, food, atmosphere, and pricing was good. Definitely will be back!

We started with the fried fresh mozzarella, which was delicious! The bone-in veal parmigiana and chicken parmesan were outstanding! The red sauce is very, very good!

The chicken parm was basically a the food in a plate of red water and tasteless. Which is sad because the other Red Fox restaurants are incredible. Service was fair. Not very friendly at all. Brought our app and then our meals to the wrong table no smiles. No warm greeting. Everyone looked unhappy. We had to ask for a dessert menu as he was handing us the bill. He didn’t even ask if we wanted dessert or coffee.
