Red Dog is an authentic Bar and American BAR-B-Q restaurant, serving 18-hour roast ribs, brisket, aged chuck steak burgers and much more, all best enjoyed with tasty cocktails or milkshakes.

Barbeque grew up in the South of the USA where cooks learned to slow roast cuts of meat over fire pits to make them tender. Exposure to the smoke of the smouldering wood added a distinctive smoky and juicy taste to the meat. Our award-winning smokers have been imported from the USA and are built to recreate the cooking process of those original fire pits. We use the traditional American woods of hickory and mesquite to give a full smoke flavour, and the meat stays in the smoker for up to 18 hours.

Went for dinner around 5pm, the restaurant was very quiet but really lovely atmosphere and great ambience (and a fun country soundtrack playing!). Staff were really lovely and friendly, quick service. Had an absolutely delicious margarita and then we both had the Cronus burger. This was also absolutely delicious and you get so much food with it. Everything on it was good quality and so flavourful, we will always recommend this place. Thanks for having us!

Overall it was a good night food was lovely.Drinks were expensive .The only thing I didn't like was the challenge going on with the peppers on the next table not good eating with people being sick on the next table

We waited for 80 minutes for our food order table of 8 2 meals were wrong 1 did Nog arrive when it did it was wrong all the food was cold , no staff around to help probably the worst meal we have ever had . We managed to complain when the manager cleared the table (mainly full plates) and she adjusted the bill and removed the £25 service charge. Will not be returning very disappointed it spoiled a brill day in Nottingham for my granddaughters graduation

Wouldn’t recommend or visit again. Mains don’t come with any sides not even chips and for £14.95 is pretty bad. Sides we did order were overpriced and not a patch on what we’ve eaten in places like reds true bbq or miller and carter. Definitely not value for money. My parents had the beef rib and it was awful quality especially for the price. Puddings weren’t great either.

Wanted to come here for a while, & got the chance to pop down with my daughter, who loves ribs as much as me. The place was not so busy, but the atmosphere was good, football on the TV's, so we were both happy. Service was excellent and attentive, yet friendly. Unfortunately, the Ribs were not what we expected. The Ribs were very fatty, & chewy, with not much meat on the half rack at all, & what meat was on them, looked very pink. Now maybe this is how they are, & maybe we should not have ordered them. We live and learn. The Desserts were very good also. Overall, I would come back, but would not order the ribs.

We turned up and was shown to our table and was given the menu, asked if we wanted drinks so we obliged, came to take our order, to be told there is no slow cooked meats no chicken there is only burgers on the menu. I know its not the restaurants fault but it would of been considerate to tell us this on arrival! not to let us order drinks and then to be told there is nothing other than burgers on the menu, so the morale of the story is we had a expensive diet coke and left due to the lack of choices.
