Red Dog is an authentic Bar and American BAR-B-Q restaurant, serving 18-hour roast ribs, brisket, aged chuck steak burgers and much more, all best enjoyed with tasty cocktails or milkshakes.

Barbeque grew up in the South of the USA where cooks learned to slow roast cuts of meat over fire pits to make them tender. Exposure to the smoke of the smouldering wood added a distinctive smoky and juicy taste to the meat. Our award-winning smokers have been imported from the USA and are built to recreate the cooking process of those original fire pits. We use the traditional American woods of hickory and mesquite to give a full smoke flavour, and the meat stays in the smoker for up to 18 hours.

We turned up and was shown to our table and was given the menu, asked if we wanted drinks so we obliged, came to take our order, to be told there is no slow cooked meats no chicken there is only burgers on the menu. I know its not the restaurants fault but it would of been considerate to tell us this on arrival! not to let us order drinks and then to be told there is nothing other than burgers on the menu, so the morale of the story is we had a expensive diet coke and left due to the lack of choices.

Firstly I’ll start by saying that the waitress and waiter that served us were lovely and very attentive, always asking if we were ok or needed anything. The restaurant was quite dingy with tables not clean. Outside the patio furniture was falling apart and was uncomfortable to sit on…so we didn’t. The food was quite small portioned with all sides being an extra cost. Have been to very similar restaurants before and at least one is always included. When the food came out is was not very warm at all. Would expect better for the cost. Overall staff were great but too expensive for what you actually get. Most probably would not visit again.

The Red Dog Saloon is my go-to location for great food and service when out in town with friends. The burgers are on another level of taste (and size) and we always have great conversations and banter with our servers. My last visit was my birthday celebration and we had an amazing time! Not especially cheap, but you get what you pay for and the food was top-quality, so absolutely no complaints!

Proper American style BBQ!!! Superbly cooked variety of meats with delicious sides. Our waitress was fantastic, knew the dishes and combos inside out and a genuine pleasure to talk to. Proper food cooked properly, well done red dog 👍👏👏

We were seated ordered drinks and food 55 minutes later no food came asked staff and we were told our ordered hadn't been put through so they put it through then .. came out warm not piping hot also .. all we was offered as a sorry was a free drink .. for the price if food and drinks afyer the experience I will not be returning

Do not hesitate to eat here. Get that table booked ASAP. The food was insane!

Great tasting food, prompt service, only reason why I dropped a star for service was I felt the staff didn’t know their menus very well when asked questions. Large portions and a great atmosphere. I would return 👌🏻
