Recipes Rochester is a family-owned eatery that first opened back in January of 2003. Ever since then it has gained national acclaim, having been recognized by USA Today, Detroit News, Daily Tribune, Hour Magazine, Detroit Free Press and Troy Newsletter. Additionally, Recipes has been voted Best Breakfast on two separate occasions. One of the best aspects of Recipes is its versatility. This is an excellent restaurant for enjoying a relaxing breakfast, a fast power lunch or a casual date night out with a loved one. Recipes menu varies wildly depending on what time of day guests visit. Breakfast items include blueberry pancakes, French toast topped with cinnamon apples, classic eggs benedict and pepper pot frittatas. For lunch, Recipes serves sandwiches like the Reuben as well as Asians specialties like pad Thai.

We have been to Recipes several times and enjoyed our experience. This time, not so much! After waiting 25 minutes for our drink order, we had to ask for them a second time, waitress forgot. Food was not hot, seemed like it had been sitting under warmer? Yes, it was Valentines Day but the restaurant was not busy! Better service on a crowded Sunday with the after church crowd. Very disappointed.

We were meeting up with friends whom we hadn’t seen in a while; this place was nice cuz it was good food and we were at a round table and it was easy to talk with everyone (instead of a rectangle table.) Service was great initially and they informed us about gratuity already being on check (for only 6 people?!) we left even more but probably overstayed our welcome lol. I just wish they would have just spoken privately with one of us. Instead they came and removed the ketchup bottle lol! Not very subtle. I promise we left a really good tip considering that move!

One of my favorite restaurants. Breakfast items are fresh and delicious. Lunch menu offers great variety with nice healthy options.

Stopped in with my sons for a quick lunch. It was my first time here and I was very pleased. The food was phenomenal. My son, who normally is the last to finish eating because he picks at his food, was the first to finish. The waitress was very friendly. The service was a bit slow for only ordering sandwiches. I will definitely come back again only for dinner next time.
