Great restaurant in every respect: friendly, attentive, engaged and responsive staff. Superb cooking. Wonderful flavours in every dish which complemented, but did not compete with the prime ingredient. There’s a warm and welcoming atmosphere that pervades Rebel Rebel, the only possible improvement would be to soften the acoustics just a little to make conversation easier. As with every other time we’ve denied at Rebel Rebel, we came away seriously impressed with the meal and having had an exceptionally enjoyable evening.

Menu changes according to the season with a few perennials.The food is always innovative, filling and delicious. The wine and beer list is well curated, extensively Australian with a good selection of Canberra regional and International wines. The staff are knowledgeable, prompt and professional and the ambience varies from a vibrant buzz to very relaxed.

We love this restaurant. We have been away for 12 months and the food and service is just as we remember it. Perfect dining location.

Innovative and delicious menu with relaxed but professional service, and central location. Had a amazing dinner, which was world-class.

Intimate space, semi-industrial feel with its recycled ceiling beams, welcoming service, windows opening out to the street - but it’s the food that truly seduces: tenderest lamb neck draped over smoky eggplant, perhaps, or oozey stracciatella spiked with shrimp sambal and charred sourdough for scooping it up with; thoughtful wine list and generous serves best shared. It’s a Canberra jewel.

Dining at Rebel Rebel on New Year's Eve was more than worth the trip from Sydney. The food was outstanding, the staff were a blast (and incredibly friendly and knowledgeable), the setting manages to be both glamorous and welcoming. I cannot recommend this restaurant highly enough!

We had a set menu for New Year’s Eve. The food was excellent as was the service. Friendly staff. Value for money. Rebel Rebel definitely delivered to the awesome food culture in Canberra.
