    I have eaten in restaurants in countries all over and I would stack this one up against any of them. By far one of the best you will ever experience.

    I made this reservation many weeks in advance. I indicated that this was the seventh or eighth consecutive year that I have celebrated my birthday at this location with 2 very good friends born in the same year, with only a month separating the actual dates yet from three very different locations on the map,(myself, 77th birthday and from England) and my dear wife of 52 years. There is one booth we all like very much which I requested and I believe explained its location in the restaurant - we arrived approximately 6 minutes before our reservation and upon hoping to be seated at that booth were informed very politely - NOT AVAILABLE - to say the lease I was openly very upset. IT WILL MAKE ME THINK ABOUT CHANGING LOCATION NEXT YEAR. They did find a booth for us but not closely as pleasant to our preferred seating. It makes me really wonder why I bother making a reservation - perhaps this is because OPEN TABLE is acting as a middleman and has no real input with the restaurant, should I bypass OPEN TABLE and visit the restaurant directly in advance to make my reservation. TO SAY THE LEAST, I WAS BORDERLINE ANGRY ABOUT THIS. However, the food was excellent, (nothing left on any plate) the service by Raoul (apologies for any spelling error) was also excellent. This will make it difficult to change locations in the future. I will most certainly research the real benefit of utilizing Open Table for any special occasions, using it merely as a convenience for general meal outings. Someone needs to step up and answer my comments.

    Awesome dinner and incredible seats with views of the river. Aaron and David were great hosts - they were efficient and present when needed. Loved their food and drink recommendations as well. We had the hot seafood platter - the lobster bites were a highlight as well as the bbq shrimp. We shared lobster Mac and cheese, sautéed spinach, and Brussels sprouts. I also had the crab stuffed trout. Cooked to perfection. Everyone has a nice time.

    We went to Ray’s on the River after being turned away from Houston’s on Northside Pkwy and I must say we could not have made a better choice! As usual, the staff was warm and welcoming. The food was superb and the service was unmatched. Our waiters, Austin and Cedric were very pleasant, attentive and efficient never missing a beat. Ray’s is always a win for me which is why it is my favorite dining spot! Thanks, Ray’s!
