    We went to Rays tonight after not going for a year due to a very negative experience. DJ waited on us tonight and he was amazing. He was extremely knowledge and made some great suggestions ( the grouper is to die for). He even walked my mother in law to the bathroom. We had a great experience and the food was absolutely delicious and service was impeccable as it should be. We'll be back soon.

    Ray's on the River is the Go-To good restaurant for several of my friends. We are American but of English background and Ray's combines the highest food standards with European style classical decor and ambiance, functional and elegant. The service is especially good - what I would call International standard professional, attentive without being over-so; around when needed but not always interrupting conversation to ask how the food is. The menu is really good but not huge - they do what they know they do well. The upside of this is you get your good food unusually quickly. Not cheap but an excellent special lunch for two - shared starter, two mains, shared desert comes in at $60/$70.

    We had an enjoyable experience for my wife’s birthday. We had an extra person who joined our party and the restaurant easily accommodated us (party of 5). Our waitress, Jess, was very pleasant and attentive. Our food orders were excellent and came out in timely fashion. The restaurant even provided us with a couple of free birthday desserts. Ambience was great and we would definitely return for another special occasion. The only criticism we have is that the drink orders were delivered a bit slowly. Perhaps they only had one bartender that evening. Other than that, we had a wonderful time.

    We've dined at Ray's on the River numerous times over the years and found this particular experience to be less than stellar. We have come to expect a fine dining experience from Ray's, based on our previous visits; however, the service this time around was poor. For example: 1) our first course oysters Rockefeller was excellent 2) second course soup and salad were delivered before we finished our first oyster. 3) bread arrived after 2nd course was finished 4) we ordered the 12 oz fillet and was served the 8 oz which we were charged properly for, however, we had to ask for steak knives 5) the request for salt provided an empty shaker 6) the technology used for payment errored out several times......... We came to raise to celebrate a special occasion and left disenchanted.

    We stopped in for an impromptu mother daughter brunch date and it was a wonderful time! Bryant and Zack took great care of us, and Zack especially had an upbeat and perineal energy that was really infectious! The Christmas decorations were stunning and made it feel so warm and homey! We ordered the brunch burger, the lobster omelette and the bananas foster French toast as a dessert and every single thing they brought out came in a reasonable time and was well made! We’ll definitely be back again when time allows

    This was my birthday/2nd time enjoying Ray’s on the River. Both times were fantastic experiences! I will definitely return in the near future. The manager made it right by getting a replacement for my salad that I requested to have my dressing on the side. We were not expecting to receive my meal covered. The service is always phenomenal! I definitely recommend Ray’s on the River!

    Went for brunch which I have had before but they have done away with the buffet. It is ala care and the selections are varied enough to satisfy anyone
