The Ratskeller is a historic cellar restaurant that sees itself as a provider of upscale Bavarian cuisine. The restaurant consists of four different concepts: the main restaurant, the Franconian-Baden wine tavern, Jean-Claude´s Bistro and the Royal Dolores Bar & Pub. In our 140 year old premises we offer real cuisine of outstanding quality, mainly from regional regions.

Hervorragendes Essen, ein super Service und ein sehr schönes Ambiente. Wir hatten auf 18:45 am 04.01.25 einen Tisch reserviert, und waren aber schon 15 Minuten früher da, was kein Problem darstellte. Wir wurden direkt zu unserem Tisch geführt, und schon knappe 15 min später stand das Essen auch schon da, obwohl an diesem Abend sehr reger Betrieb herrschte. Mit dem Service waren wir rundum zufrieden. Der Servicemitarbeiter war sehr freundlich, er hat sich das Trinkgeld auf jeden Fall verdient. Das Ambiente ist absolut überwältigend, und man sollte sich selbst mal ein Bild davon machen, wenn man in München ist. Wir empfehlen den Ratskeller auf jeden Fall. Preis- Leistungsverhältnis ist für München gar nicht schlecht. Das einzige Manko ist der Geräuschpegel, aber in einer solchen Großraumgastronomie anders nicht machbar

Top Service, sehr gute Qualität der Speisen, schönes Ambiente - Lob an Service und Küche... wir waren schon mehrfach hier und werden wiederkommen.

We returned to the Rathskeller 35 years later from our first visit for our anniversary. This time we took our kids. We had our first married dinner here in 1989 and now we returned for our 35th anniversary dinner. It’s been updated and the menu is much larger but just as charming and fun. Highly recommended as it’s an icon in Munich. Service was great, food was good and the atmosphere was fun. For a Resturant that is some 600 yrs old it’s aged well! A recommend stop if you’re in Munich looking for a classic fun place to go.

Die Reservierung, die wir im Oktober vorgenommen haben, wurde in Ihrem System nicht gefunden. Wir bekamen einen Tisch in der Mitte, abseits der nächtlichen Atmosphäre. Unser Silvesterdinner wurde zu einem schlechten Erlebnis. Auch wenn wir am Vortag eine Bestätigungs-E-Mail von Ihnen erhalten haben, ist diese Situation überhaupt nicht angenehm.

Im Ratskeller haben wir wieder einmal einen tollen Abend verbracht. Das Essen ist echt super! Eine tolle WhiskeyKarte gibt es auch. Der Service war absolut spitze..unterhaltsam und freundlich...und er hat sehr viel zu dem gelungenen Abend beigetragen. Das Ambiente ist sehr stimmig und besonders. Absolute Empfehlung!!

Nice place in the vaults under the city town hall. The staff was perfect, surroundings too. The food is average, nothing special, the price is accordingly to the place, higher than other places.

A must dine place; go for the history and ambiance. Food selection is solid, and well prepared. Service is solid. Touristic place, but well worth the experience. Second time dining there - doesn’t disappoint (but won’t exceed expectations).
