We have one major focus: the popular German street food - schnitzel. We also have wursts made by local German meat market legend, Binkert's (Rosedale, MD). Other partnerships include a Black Forest Ice Cream Sandwich by Scoop & Paddle (Clarksville, MD).

We use fresh meats and vegetables, never frozen. The pretzels are made by hand by an Army vet who learned to make pretzels in Germany after his service. The sauces are made from scratch. Our cocktail program features both popular and obscure German spirits. The wine program consists of small-production family-owned wineries in Germany and Austria. Beer offerings include a healthy diet of imported German beers and local breweries who make German-style brews.

I had my 60th Birthday meal at the Rathskeller. Our first time eating at Rathskeller and it was awesome. The waitstaff was friendly and the Jager schnitzel was delicious, the Spaetzle (with cheese) was fantastic as well. Definitely going to eat there again. Roger N.

First time visitor and we were not disappointed. Started with the buttered pretzel and ordered the two wurst plate with two sides. Both the wurst and the sides were incredible. Red cabbage and the German potato salad. We finished our meal with the Black Forest cake. My wife said it was the best she has ever had. I have to agree. The service was very attentive and friendly. Looking forward to returning to this restaurant soon. :)

Delicious German food in Elkridge! Our table shared a platter which had a choice of up to 4 schnitzel and/or wurst with 2 large sides. Great deal for our party of 4. The beer selection is great too!

The selection of german/nordic beers was impressive. I enjoyed their take on an old fashioned using yager, it's now in my top 3 favorite preparations of the drink. The food was so good. I am not usually a pretzel fan but boy was the pretzel appetizer so good, we finished the whole thing easily. We ordered the combo platter and can't say enough how yummy and tasteful it was. We got the raspberry sorbet which was very tart and good.

Good food with solid service and nicely decorated, but the indoor dining area is not the place for quiet conversation or noise-sensitive visitors. Some sound treatment could make it pretty close to perfect. Outdoor seating is a great option.

Good authentic German meals, good beer. Very loud, hard to hear your conversation but you can certainly hear everyone else’s. But what can you expect in a beer hall. Enjoyed the food and and the Beer, sometimes the noise helps if you don’t want to hear conversations. ;-)
