Went here for my anniversary, the staff were polite and efficient. The food was so wonderfully plated, the flavors jumped off the dish, and most importantly it was fresh! The manager was nice enough to provide complimentary desert for our anniversary and really made our nights.

Great service! I did not have anything thing to drink but hear the mixologists are great. The Paella was excellent, wedge salad some portions were a tad bit bitter for me

This used to be one of my favorites in Richmond but it isn’t the same. The food was good, oysters to start scallops main course but portions were tiny. $38 for three scallops, really?! Service was disappointing at best. Long wait time, lost orders, server indifference and attitude were all part of the experience. Too many better alternatives in Richmond. I won’t be going back

Our last visit to Rappahannock was several years ago and that was a thoroughly enjoyable experience. So, while visiting Richmond we decided to give it another try and we certainly weren't disappointed. A pleasantly casual environment (I even wore Crocs) with top notch food and drink. I knew things were heading in the right direction when my spectacular Bombay martini arrived and it was obvious that the gin had been taken directly from the freezer - an observation which was confirmed by our server. Oysters (of course!) and octopus to begin and branzino & scallops for mains. Everything was prepared to perfection. Our server was outstanding and she was an excellent source of advice on cocktails, starters, mains, and wines. Will we return again? Of course. Unfortunately, not soon enough.

The best octopus we’ve ever had (and we’ve spent quite a bit of time in Chile and San Sebastián, Spain); absolutely grilled to perfection, BRAVO 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻. The collar and pan seared rock fish were delectable as well. We will be back the next time we’re in Richmond!

He oysters and fish were excellent and the staff wonderful. BUT Tips: 1. Don't upgrade your vodka... martinis end up being over $20 each. 2. Don't order the Paella... undercooked, chewy, crunchy not good at all. They had it out in 15 mins so just NOT cooked through at all.

Where to begin...our experience was fantastic all the way around! The watermelon/crab salad - a perfect summer salad and the seared fish - again, perfect summer sides. And a generous paella with slightly crispy rice - yummy. Hats off to new Executive Chef Ian Boothman. Service was very attentive with a nice wine recommendation and concern for our experience. We will be back soon!
