Travis and Ryan Croxton debut their spinoff from the highly acclaimed Rappahannock Oyster Bar at Union Market in Washington, DC. They’ve even brought their DC Chef, Kevin Kelly, to man the kitchen at this outpost. This location in the historic Cigar Factory Building on East Bay Street, allows room for Chef Kelly to showcase more of his cuisine to a larger audience, including an incredibly unique 40 seat raw bar. Oysters grown by the Croxton’s own Rappahannock Oyster Company are accentuated, but Kelly’s signature dishes like lambs’n’clams, crabcakes, shrimp & grits and the best po’ boy you’ll ever eat are enough reasons in their own right for constant visits. Coupled with a great cocktail program and focus on local ingredients, ROB is a great place for any occasion.

Excellent menu in a quaint setting. The staff is very knowledgeable about the food they serve. Everything we ate was excellent and we will be back!

The food was ultra amazing… and service was delightful. They oriented us in what to order and how to taste it. It was just great !

We’ve dined here several times and it was fine. But last night our server seemed kind of cranky - like we were bother him and he did not want to be there. Some dishes seemed more pricey than we remember. Food was good - a bit noisy but we expected that.

It was excellent! The oysters are always amazing! Had the spaghetti & clams as well & they were delicious. Our waitress Autumn was very attentive & helpful with choices.

We loved this place. The oysters were excellent and the service and value were even better. Exactly what were in the mood for after a day of enjoying the sights of Charleston.

Great service and dinner suggestions. For unknown reasons, the restaurant wasn’t crowded so we weren’t rushed. Great local oysters!

Our server was excellent, all of the food, and we ordered a lot, was amazing. The beverage selection was better than I've seen in a very long time.

An amazing night out! Really wanted some good oysters and seafood and Rappahannock didn’t disappoint! The oysters were delicious and shucked well. There was gluten free crab cakes because they don’t use any fillers. Our waiter, Chase was knowledgeable and friendly and on top of making sure we had everything we need. 5 stars!!!
