We are excited to welcome you to Rania, DC's hottest destination for modern Indian food. Tom Sietsema has called our food "some of the most inspired Indian cooking in DC." At Rania, we offer homage to the time-honored traditions, rich flavors, and spices of India in an intimate, luxurious setting. We look forward to sharing our vision with you!

Presenting sophisticated, highly acclaimed 4-course prix-fixe menu, with an upcoming debut of our chef's tasting menu.

Policies:
-Dress Code: Smart Business Casual. No shorts, athletic wear, or baseball caps are allowed.
-Children under 10 are not allowed in the main dining areas.
-Reservations are available for parties of up to 6 people.
- A non-refundable deposit of $30 per person is required for parties larger than 5.
-A 20% gratuity will be added to all parties 5 or more.

Love this place. Nicely elevated Indian food. The drinks are to spectacular and have a little dram with each one. Mario was fantastic both this time and last. Loved it. Going back next month.

Wow wow wow what a delicious experience. Surprising in a great way. I'm so surprised the brunch experience isn't packed out. It's incredible and the value for money is out of this world.

The food was excellent, cocktails were awesome, and the waiter was great (he explained things well, took interest in our visit, etc.), and the bussers were on point. The only hiccup was the host/possibly a manager (who took our coats when we were seated) asked me to remove my hat midway through our 4-course meal. She said, “Sir, we do not allow anyone to wear a sports cap.” Instead of ruining my evening, I just took the hat off. However, there were a few deficiencies with that statement and request: 1. It wasn’t a sports cap. It was a dressy wool hat and I guess since I’m a male, I had to remove it because females within the restaurant were allowed to wear their hats. 2. I checked the website before I came for a dress code, which I did not see one listed. If it exist, it is not easily identifiable. 3. Why would they enforce it halfway through my dinner?! 4. There were some men with sweatshirts on in the restaurant, which is much more of a violation if there was/is a dress code than asking me to remove a dressy, winter hat. If there is a dress code and it’s left up to their subjective interpretation, then I’m not sure if I’ll be back because these types of requests are extremely outdated. Nothing about my outfit said “SPORTS!”

Celebrated two year anniversary at our first Michelin star restaurant, and it was truly a wonderful experience. The tenants of the staff and everyone was truly amazing. We were greeted by a personal note as well as complementary dessert for our anniversary. The food was absolutely delicious as well.

One Michelin Star (and all that implies) with two prix fixe selections and alacarte menu. (1) Self select 4 items from 4 groups, $90) or (most) Chefs Selection 7 items plus desert ($150). We did Chefs Selection, excellent flavors and great value. The last dish was an aged duck breast dish with all typical Indian sides (Naan, rice, curry dipping sauces). The cocktail menu and wine list were amazing. Easily worth

The four course meal was really good. Would recommend people to go here. This was our first time and really enjoyed the food.
