We are excited to welcome you to Rania, DC's hottest destination for modern Indian food. Tom Sietsema has called our food "some of the most inspired Indian cooking in DC." At Rania, we offer homage to the time-honored traditions, rich flavors, and spices of India in an intimate, luxurious setting. We look forward to sharing our vision with you!

Presenting sophisticated, highly acclaimed 4-course prix-fixe menu, with an upcoming debut of our chef's tasting menu.

Policies:
-Dress Code: Smart Business Casual. No shorts, athletic wear, or baseball caps are allowed.
-Children under 10 are not allowed in the main dining areas.
-Reservations are available for parties of up to 6 people.
- A non-refundable deposit of $30 per person is required for parties larger than 5.
-A 20% gratuity will be added to all parties 5 or more.

    Rania's 4-course ($90) pre-fixe menu experience, with the option to add wine pairings and cocktails as desired. Available Tuesdays thru Saturdays. Note: Due to the unique nature of our cuisine, we are unable to accommodate allergies to allium, nightshade, cumin, and coriander. However, we are pleased to inform you that we can cater to vegan diets and other dietary restrictions if notified beforehand. We take pride in our ability to provide a quality dining experience to our patrons and appreciate your understanding.

    One of the, if not the, best Michelin stared restaurant in DC. The lamb dishes are perfectly seasoned, cooked, and served. Portion sizes are generous. Service is incredible. Flavors are balanced wonderfully. We have come here several times and plan to come again in the future!

    Too much waiting time between dishes, nothing spectacular on the food except for a couple of small bites, stands at the back of other one Michelin star restaurants in DC

    Sadly, I was not impressed with the food. We don’t drink alcohol so maybe that takes away from the whole experience. However, the most important thing in a restaurant is the food, and taking into account the many items on the 4-course menu that we tried between the table, in my opinion, there wasn’t a dish I had that was anything to write home about. Out of everything, I think I liked the Beetroot & Coconut Chop and the Stuffed Morels the best and I really did not enjoy the Braised Short Rib. The waiters also are not very knowledgeable regarding the menu. I think they should work on that so they can better explain dishes to the customer. They were accommodating to my shellfish allergy, thank you for that. Overall, it was fine, but I wouldn’t go again.

    Very memorable birthday brunch for my mom. Food was excellent and the specialty cocktails were a lot of fun!
