We are excited to welcome you to Rania, DC's hottest destination for modern Indian food. Tom Sietsema has called our food "some of the most inspired Indian cooking in DC." At Rania, we offer homage to the time-honored traditions, rich flavors, and spices of India in an intimate, luxurious setting. We look forward to sharing our vision with you!

Presenting sophisticated, highly acclaimed 4-course prix-fixe menu, with an upcoming debut of our chef's tasting menu.

Policies:
-Dress Code: Smart Business Casual. No shorts, athletic wear, or baseball caps are allowed.
-Children under 10 are not allowed in the main dining areas.
-Reservations are available for parties of up to 6 people.
- A non-refundable deposit of $30 per person is required for parties larger than 5.
-A 20% gratuity will be added to all parties 5 or more.

    Rania's 4-course ($90) pre-fixe menu experience, with the option to add wine pairings and cocktails as desired. Available Tuesdays thru Saturdays. Note: Due to the unique nature of our cuisine, we are unable to accommodate allergies to allium, nightshade, cumin, and coriander. However, we are pleased to inform you that we can cater to vegan diets and other dietary restrictions if notified beforehand. We take pride in our ability to provide a quality dining experience to our patrons and appreciate your understanding.

    Everything was outstanding: the food was flavorful and creative, the service was impeccable, the noise level was relatively quiet, even though the dining room was pretty full. My only complaint was that the glass of Cremant that I had before the meal was pretty flat. My partner's cocktail was perfect. We are looking forward to our next visit and would highly recommend Rania to others.

    Loved our experience from beginning to end. Great food and amazing service. The main course dishes were a blend of traditional Indian and international cuisine. My wife and I are of Indian origin, so we appreciate good Indian cooking. What was surprising was that our adult US-born children who snub Indian spices. also loved it. Neither wanted to join us for lunch when we invited them to Rania. Both were ecstatic that they did. Thanks Team Rania!

    Rania was delicious and the perfect place for a night out. I really enjoyed the elevated Indian dishes. My only complaint was that the cocktails were a bit sweet for my taste but overall, it was an amazing meal! I highly recommend the kofta for the first course and the duck vindaloo for the third. Hoping to come back and try the chef’s tasting menu soon!

    Had the chefs tasting menu which was exceptional. Expensive but memorable. Service was excellent.

    Attentive service, a good choice for each of the four courses, and every course was delicious. There were two of us dining and we ordered different items. Everyone was excellent. I particularly enjoyed the beetroot chop and the chocolate tart.

    An absolutely wonderful experience and amazing food!! The ambiance is gorgeous, the service was spectacular and the food was some of the best I’ve had in the DC food scene recently. Will definitely be back!

    True to Indian flavors, but so much more. Traditional dishes in bites. The depth of complex flavors and textures are amazing though. We loved each course and wine pairing. Refined decor is elegant yet comfortable.
