Wait for food was over an hour then to be told that they had run out of what we ordered while the table next to us enjoyed the meal that was unavailable When the food finally arrived it was cold , dry and we asked for refund Never to return which is disappointing for a local pub

We didn't eat at The Railway, we went for the Jazz/Blues Band with singer Yolanda Ingley which was great. Sunday afternoon session 4 - 6. Great. Lots of people in the front bar and in the beer garden. The vibe was good. Plus they sell Carlton Draught and Great Northern. Win, win, win.

Great pub with good value delicious food. Specials are always interesting and the Sunday roast porchetta a winner. Fantastic friendly staff.

Great food in a friendly local pub. Real eclectic feel with families having dinner with their kids, friends meeting, and the Friday night beers crowd. Good place, only slight negative was it was a bit cool but it is winter in Melbourne 😎

There was a great atmosphere at the Railway and the location is perfect for us. The service was friendly and efficient and we liked the table location on the edge of the hubbub. Some of our party found the food delicious and some had dishes that were a bit dry/ not as fresh as they had hoped.

The service in this great pub is terrible. Wait staff generally don’t smile, don’t engage and are borderline rude.

After advertising there was a vegetarian roast of the day option, I arrived to find there was none. I ordered the vegetarian lasagne which arrived burnt and dry. I've eaten here before and meals have been okay, but this was unacceptable. Partner ordered roast of the day and was denied request of more gravy as it was quite dry also. Staff were mostly unhelpful and more interested im socialising than working.
