Step into 1st floor RAILS Restaurant for a buzzy and relaxed dining experience. Expect a great modern British-French grill with succulent meat, fish and vegetable dishes served with sauces and sides, and the best moments from a Parisian brasserie menu, not to mention interiors.

Frenchie cocktails and digestifs top off the occasion from the adjoining Little Bar, wrapped in William Morris wallpaper dressed in eclectic art.

In addition, GNH Bar and Terrace, a bustling and welcoming space, blending British heritage with world influences welcomes you downstairs on the street level. The GNH Bar is open every day from 9am to 11pm.

Join us this Burns Night for a traditional three course feast to celebrate the Scottish poet's verbal prowess. First up is our delightfully creamy Cullen Skink soup, followed by hearty Haggis (accompanied by the obligatory Neeps & Tatties) and a punchy whisky sauce. And to finish, indulge in the light, but moreish, Scottish favourite with a boozy kick - Cranachan. We also highly recommend our fiery, yet sweet, Burns Night whisky cocktail, ''Ae Fond Kiss',' that will certainly put hairs on your chest.

Start the year right with our entirely vegan set menu that doesn't compromise on flavour. Enjoy a 2 or 3 course express lunch or pre-theatre dinner starting from £24. Add a glass of our house red or white wine for £6.5 or indulge in our signature cake trolley for dessert. Available Monday to Saturday , 12pm - 6pm.

The place is very elegant and lovely- not crowded and comfortable. The greeting hosts were friendly as were the waiters, but…. Our orders came in cold ( eggs royale) , water took more than half hour to be served , and eggs had to be returned because though I was asked how I wanted them, they came incorrect and had to be returned and cooked further. For the price of the food, this is pretty poor. It’s unfortunate that this should occur. This my rating.

Everything about rails was good except two main dishes ,maybe it was our selections, I’ve not been here before,I had dish of the day which was chicken schnitzel which was very dry overcooked meat, the coating was over greasy, my wife had chicken cordon blue , again dry and greasy , my two boys had steak which was ok and my youngest had pork which he enjoyed , sides were fry’s , mash potatoes root veg and red cabbage which again were ok, tester was very good and informative,ambiance is very nice and on a whole enjoyable , not sure if I’d go again given the choices around this area , I’d give rails 7-10

I go quite regularly to Rails, it’s a very convenient location, the first floor restaurant is well designed, tables not too close together and a nice ambience. Today for lunch everything was as normal, however the food was very poor, it tasted as if everything had dried out waiting to be served, and on the inclusive menu, there was no non-vegetarian main course. The plates were full, but the food was not up to their usual standard.

Great place to meet for business breakfast good acoustics and great setting and easy to get to. Fast services and good breakfast choices. A bit expensive.

Everything is about this place is good. We love the ambience and the staff are outstanding - friendly, attentive, perfect! A lovely place to meet up with friends. The food was good (3 of us had the flat-iron steak and chips - both delicious) and there was a set vegetarian menu. It is nice and quiet so good for chatting. I would strongly recommend.

We had french onion soup, and braised ox cheeks both absolutely delicious. Would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone. So convenient for st pancras and kings cross station.

Lovely restaurant , as before . Staff very attentive and food very nice . Never like it when the add in a service charge as I feel that should be upto the customer , but it won’t stop me returning , again
