12.12.12 We began a journey together with the community of Hudson, Massachusetts. An idea to open a small flatbread shop evolved into something we could only dream about. Our story is about a community's hope to do something special and to bring attention back to the things that matter most- like sitting around a fire, with warm friends, cold beers and great flatbread! Although delicious wood fired flatbread pizza is the champion on our menu it's just the beginning -we are a family friendly restaurant offering unique spins on new American comfort food classics like burgers, chicken tenders, tacos and mac and cheese to name a few.

Three old friends met to catch up and enjoy lunch. Mission accomplished. The service was great; there was something on the menu for everyone; the food was nicely presented and tasty; and the setting enabled wonderful conversation. Importantly, we were not rushed as occurs in some restaurants.

Celiac and allergy diners beware! We ordered the sweet potato hummus GF and asked our waiter if this would be served with cauliflower. He indicated that they had GF pita and we agreed to try it. A different server brought out a beautifully plated dish of hummus and pita along the side. He specifically stated that the appetizer was GF. Tired and hungry my 2 other diners and I dug in, commenting that the pita was quite soft. After ~ 5 minutes, a 3rd server brought a plate of GF pizza crust to the table. We were shocked and said that the prior server indicated the first plate was GF. We asked for the hummus to be replaced, as it was cross-contaminated. The manager promptly came to our table to apologize and stated that the incident would be reviewed with staff. The initial waiter also apologized and removed the cost of the hummus and my entrée. I appreciated their response after the error was identified, but this level of server communication and food handling is not acceptable. My trust in this establishment’s allergy awareness is significantly degraded.

Me and my lady friend, had an excellent meal. Had the beat salad as an appetizer, order a large prosciutto and spinach and a small fig and walnut pizzas. The fig and walnut was surprisingly delicious. The prosciutto and spinach is our usual go to, excellent also. Server was great, had a wonderful time. Definitely worth going to.
