Bread was sliced, from a bag not fresh . Salad dressing seemed like it was from a bottle you would buy at the grocery store . We had the prime rib which fairly tough and a bit stringy compared to other restaurants we have tried . Server was very good .

I have been going to this venerable Steak House since the early-1960s. I love that so much of the ambience, service and excellent food remains a robust and enduring part of the Rae & Gerry Tradition. It has been a family favourite for many years and an extraordinary " date night " place. Your date, spouse or business associate will be very impressed! The traditional ambience is incredible and incomparable. The Servers are very attentive and friendly. Fortunately, the new Owner respects the history and tradition! This Steakhouse (which also offers many other alternative dishes) is, in my mind, in the top 3 Steakhouses in Winnipeg—highly recommended!

Aging steakhouse; decor needs refreshing; padded benches need improved inserts. Service was slightly annoying with the server tending to set down the heavier stoneware dishes noisily. (We think she would have preferred to be working elsewhere or not at all). Beef (both strip loin and filet mignon) really well flavoured; mains arrived approximately 20 minutes after the included appetizers (juice/daily soup). We feel our server "forgot" to put our order in as tables near us received their mains long before we did). The Included bread basket was very good/fresh. Wine list (by the glass and by the bottle) was varied with a range of prices. Dessert was just okay; wouldn't choose it again. In a comparison based on price point and service, we would likely go to another steakhouse.

Took my mom for her 79th birthday supper. They greated us with a smile and were very accomidating for her and her walker. The server was amazing. The food was perfect. The filet mingon was cooked to perfection and melted in your mouth. For her birthday they brought her the best tasting chocolate I have ever had.

I was a bit disappointed with the fact that there are no pictures of the food on the website, not sure where the béarnaise sauce was hidden on the grenadine of beef. The meat was ordered medium but was much closer to rare. The server was pleasant.
